Okay, so I have enabled email and added places where users can get in contact with me. I know that my account isn't 30 days old yet, so if you'd prefer I wait a bit then I will. Just for a reminder, requesting moderation for Doodle God. Current mod is inactive and is not responding to attempts to contact him. His name is TodinhoDaFarra if you want to look into it. Thank you again for your consideration and let me know if there is anything else I should do.
Hello! I am a new member of the speedrunning community and I am having some problems with the Doodle God moderator. I submitted my run 3 weeks ago, and it still has not been approved. The moderator hasn't been on the site in 2-3 months, and has not responded to my attempts to contact him. He hasn't accepted my request on discord, deleted my comment off his youtube video, and hasn't responded to my DM on this site. He is the only moderator for the game, so I cannot speak to anyone else about it.
I know I am not even a month old on this site, but I'd be willing to take up the moderation duties myself. Doodle God does not have a very active community, so it would not be a very demanding job for someone new at it, and it honestly needs clearer rules for its runs. Thank you for your help.
Okay given the "frequently asked questions" thread did say that something won't become a category unless the suggester runs it, and I have neither the skill nor camera to do that, I'll let it drop. If someone else thinks this category deserves a spot on the spreadsheet, take up the cause.
Haha you should probably make a different forum post to discuss that.
Why are online related categories dumb? And also offline iron man's against computers were an option. Granted I am arguing for a category that I cannot run because of my own lack of skill and I don't own a capture card, but still.
So what do we think about this category? Is it valid for a spot on the website or is it more of a spreadsheet kind of category? I'm not really good enough to go submit a run for it, but I think it may be entertaining for others.
Hey so it's been about two weeks since I have submitted my run to the Doodle God board. The moderator hasn't responded to my DM on this site, nor on discord, and I think he deleted my comment off of his youtube video when I tried to get in touch with him that way. He hasn't logged onto the site in 3 months. My run hasn't been approved, and I'm still not even positive if I did it right because of the vague instructions. So is there anything the site mods can do to solve the problem? His name is TodhinoDaFarra.
Yeah, internet connection is a problem, but I kinda look at it as a similar factor to RNG. Just something you have to deal with and hope that you get lucky.
Thats true, but given that For Glory in Smash 4 didn't even have THAT restriction, I don't think it is too big of a deal.
Yeah exactly. That's why I think the categories should be Low GSP and Elite Smash. Elite smash has the better players, like they are playing on hard mode, and Low GSP has the really bad players, like it is easy mode. I don't think we can do a "normal mode" because it would be too hard to decide what GSP that "normal" level would be at. This one may be better for the spreadsheet, but I think it would work just fine on the main page too.
I noticed that these were present in smash 4, but not in Ultimate. It may be a bit tougher to make categories given that you can tank GSP to get worse players. But I still think it is viable. There could be an Elite Smash Category and a Low GSP category, like below 1m GSP. Other than that, categories would be the same as in smash 4: online/offline, DLC/no DLC. What do you guys think?
Okay, thank you! I sent a friend request on discord, so we will see where things go. Should I keep using this post to talk about it with you when things come up or should I DM you?
Hi, I am pretty new to the site and just submitted my first run to the pretty dead community of Doodle God. All of the runs are defined rather poorly and I was not sure exactly what I was supposed to be doing. Should I talk to the moderator about that or should I be talking to the people in charge of the site?
