Basically any emulator that doesn't provide a clear advantage to make the run easier should be fine. Controller wise I'd say it's legal to use a phone/touch pad given the Wii U port allows for a similar type or thing with the gamepad.

Any character is allowed. The Superzak has to be the AI, so no player 2. Time starts as soon as both players hit "Start" Time ends the instant Superzak is stunned.
