DS4Windows just converts the PS4 inputs into Xinput, and a lot of runners use DS4 controllers (including myself), it is definitely allowed.
It'd be harder to find a game on SRC that specifically disallows it tbh
So I understand wanting it under a single emulator, however the rules clearly show more than one emulator available for Windows and MacOS so was this changed/revisited outside of this thread?
It was originally justified in the original SRC page for this game before the split, I believe it was easier because you would also need to show the controller inputs to show it wasn't being macro'd, which still makes it a matter of skill and not cheating.. (Edit: This wasn't to accuse you of cheating or macro'ing, just making sure it didn't come across as such) Out of curiosity, what would stop you from using the thumbstick, what would your alternative be since it's more accessible than mashing required for vanilla.
Jump in the discord and hash it out with them, it'll probably be easier to get a real time answer that way
RESIDENT EVIL HD REMASTER (STEAM)
DoorSkip won't stay active when the RE program is closed and won't activate until RE is opened. It waits for the .exe process for those specific games to load. The SRT gathers data from game memory for that .exe process, and like door skip only works with the provided .exe's. It shouldn't have any bearing on VAC since it's only active while the games are active, but I guess like with any software you're concerned about that with, just close it before launching CSGO.
Regarding the AutoSplitter, it's a .asl file you download that's added into LiveSplit via the Layout Settings, it IIRC detects changes in the games memory as well to automatically split and doesn't inject or modify anything.
Raincheck on Duckstation by any chance?
Pretty ezpz question, emulator allowed in Any% category or nah?
Latest release is 2.0.5, we okay with this or we stuck on 2.0 for this one?
just sounds like an incomplete run imo, games not popular enough to warrant more categories at this time, up to CPZ and if he wants to
As long as the footage is consistent, you're only hampering you run with a low framerate though
