Hey, to answer your questions:
- The level run needs to be uploaded as a video. Best practice would be starting from the map in the main menu, showing the selected difficulty and traits. The video should include the run until the result screen. Please add a timer if possible so the time can be verified as precisely as possible.
- You can do all level runs with any Wizard Level.
- Yes, Endurance Max is finishing wave 999 on Haunting with all traits set to maximum. Please include this part in your level run video (see point 1).
- The endurance time starts at the same time as any other level run (see next).
- That's correct, the first game action starts the timer.
- Exactly, the timer stops when the last monster is dead.
I'll include this information in the respective category rules for clarification. Hope this helps! :)
Hi, perhaps ghosts aren't saved if you got a penalty during your lap/race. Have you noticed a pattern in that regard that could help narrow it down?
That's pretty much it, Any% is just get to the Ravenwest Showdown and win it, 1st% (probably gonna change it to 100%) is to get Gold in all events, then the Ravenwest stuff.
Hi, depends on the category:
- Career: Finish the GRID Legends Cup
- All Disciplines: Place first in every single cup
- Single Disciplines: Place first in all cups of one category, such as Touring, Endurance, etc.
Speaking about strats, it also depends on the category:
- Career: afaik you advance by placing at least third
- Pretty much every other category is first place only
You can skip races so save time, so it's best to check which races take the longest and how high your chance is of completing a cup in 1st or 3rd place by skipping X races. That's pretty much the main strategy aside from driving fast.
Hey man, thanks for this post.
As for Dirt Rally 1:
- The grid system is good as it is, in my opinion. Sure, it's a bit of a shame that 2nd or 3rd places are not visible, and it's not perfect overall. However, with the current system, this is the best compromise.
- About your point concerning exposure: Most views/clicks come from the leaderboard itself and not so much from the player's profile, so having the record shown as a level run isn't that much of an issue.
- ILs would be definitely interesting to have. For me personally, they are not a must-have. If you wish to add them still, you can have them in the level leaderboard as well, below the full runs. Maybe it attracts people who prefer shorter runs, who knows? ;)
Dirt Rally 2.0:
- As this game hasn't been released yet, I think it's too early to make plans on how the board should be handled. Let's have another look in a month :)
Ok, let's omit the Le Mans race and only focus on the cups and duels.
Thanks :)
As title says, is it required or not? The rules currently don't specify it, and the Le Mans race gives three extra sponsors so I'd like to clear that up.
Cheers!
Hey, I think before we create fun categories, we should start filling the already existing leaderboards, don't you think? :)
Alternatively, you can also submit times for Individual Levels/Fields.
The biggest difference is that NFS edition cars are significantly faster than their stock counterparts.
At the moment, we only have the Forward times on the main page of the ILs, while Backwards is only accessible over a very inconvenient way. Imo we should have both directions visible, and there should be enough space for those times as well.
So in the end we'd have:
- Stock, FW
- Stock, BW
- NFS Edition, FW
- NFS Edition, BW
What do you think?
Even though it's just a small thing, but how should the two Derby events (Grand Finals) be handled? Do you need to win or can you just get wrecked or an "out of time"?
Yeah, it should be the same for the sake of consistency.
Okay, I've checked out the Flash game version of it, and purchasing the Magician's Pouch seems to unlock a couple of things you'd have to grind for normally, so it's best not to use it for the sake of consistency between the Flash and Steam versions.
I also noticed frequent FPS drops and way longer loading times in the Flash version, so you'll probably be better off with the Steam version. If you like to use the Flash game anyway, not a problem, I can create a separate category. ;)
Deal?
Hey, are you using the Steam version or did you buy this game directly from Armor Games? I bought it from Steam and I can't seem to find the Magician's Pouch there?
About the pouch itself: Once you buy it, can you choose to unlock certain things or are they unlocked by default?
