I am fairly sure I posted a thread, here. But it seems to be gone, now??... Odd. Is anyone active here?
Why use an emulator, when you can run on a real Game Boy Advance?
For me, it's because I want to record my runs, for multiple reasons. I can't record from the handheld.
Well tbh VBA isn't that accurate compared to console or other emulators (¤cough¤ BizHawk ¤cough¤), so that's not really surprising
Would you recommend BizHawk? I've never looked into it.
Hello, everyone. I'm working on a run for the Game Boy Advance. And I noticed there are some tricks I can perform with ease on the real system, while I'm having severe trouble in Visual Boy Advance (this extends to VBA-M). Does anyone else experience this? And what could be causing it? Perhaps it's easier to perform frame or pixel perfect tricks on the original hardware, because we're more used to it?
The Atari ST, requested three weeks ago, has not yet been added as a platform. :)
Do I need to do anything else for it to be added, or do I just... wait?
Alright. Any tips are welcome, of course. ;) I know how to request a game, if I didn't, I couldn't have quoted a section from the text on that page. ;)
Hello everyone! I'd like to request an Atari ST game to be added, some time soon. Reading the information on doing so:
Moderators for each game are expected to set up categories and settings for the game and verify runs.
How exactly does one 'verify' runs? After all, couldn't somebody TAS something, or stitch a video together by cutting and pasting?
I don't think the Atari ST has been added yet. It's a line of home computers, sure, but that's no problem, as we've got plenty of pc runs as well. There are many different types of ST's, like there are many different types of pc's, but ST games should be hosted under one category. One could argue that Atari ST fits under pc, but I'd disagree. After all, Amiga's listed as a separate category as well, and Amiga's different from pc just as much as Atari ST is. :) I'm in the process of improving a run of an Atari ST game myself, and I am planning to request the game some time soon.
