It doesn't make any sense to me that we start timing before the game loads in. Meaning if someone with a better graphics card has an advantage over every one else. I could never compete in some of the short categories because of my graphics card and long loading times.

I just think we should start the timer later in to the run

We could only add this rule for short runs, so not too much re timing is needed, and I think it would make running the game a lot more fair.

Agreed. My suggestion would be starting the timer when the intro music starts upon loading a lot for the first time.
