I think a category where you try to survive as long as possible would be interesting. since the game doesnt progress unless you flash freddy

Yeah when I grinded for the Maintenance Expert achievement I literally went for at least half an hour without any issues (then had to do something else). It'd just be a "who has the most free time" competition
How about a category where you do a normal speedrun but you have to activate everyone before starting to flash freddy?
Hmm, I like that idea Kiber, like a hard% run or something. I'll keep that in a corner of my head. Also to reply to the original proposition, the main problem is as mentioned by bonwattersen that runs could last forever (not to mention this would also be a nightmare to verify), especially since the night is not that difficult if you aren't trying to win. Now if the game actually gets way harder after a certain amount of fuses it could limit the time spent but I don't think that's the case.
After 5 fuses Chica and Foxy are maxed on their things (the cupcakes # and # that Foxy dodges). This doesn't really change that much except for Chica needing you to use all but 1 charge of your flashlight every attack. Optimally you flash Freddy multiple times a Chica cycle then fix flashlight mid Chica attack to deal with her and have more flashes for Freddy.

Only downside to this category would be the long setup for it every attempt, other then that it's a good category i'd definitely play it
perhaps we could start the timer after the last fuse animation? to not add an additional extra RNG in the start of the run.
Or someone makes a thing for this game so that you immediately start with all animatronics active but that would be far future stuff
By then the game will probably just be out lol, although maybe Nixon and his team will add a hard mode as an extra! Honestly I like the RNG because it is supposed to be the hard category, though RNG might not equal harder and could just be more infuriating. Though my two cents is for the timer start as usual
Probably, i wouldn't be surprised if they add hard mode to the new JOC aswell, the old one had a survival mode and that was pretty crazy for players who didn't know much about the game. The timer wouldn't be a dealbreaker but it's just a "nice convenience" guess us speedrunners just tend to be spoiled here and there lol
I agree the setup is long and RNG based since if you get 2 fuses you just reset, but it's not as annoying as a normal speedrun, since the rest of the night after setup is so much more skill based and fun.
I been grinding some attemps and i can tell you that the amount of timers that you have to keep in mind is crazy, like the flashlight battery, Chica's kill timer(who you actually have to fend off unlike in a normal run), Foxy kill and spawn timers.
(i legit died to Foxy cause i say Freddy on cam got up and while i was going to the door Foxy spawned in and got me).
Compared to the normal speedrun or as i like to call it (The joy of waiting for Freddy to deliver my 12 pizzas ~45s apart from each other) this is way more fun since by the time you deal with everyone Freddy will already be there which should, if not remove the RNG ,then to make it not as bad as it is in a normal run.

Sorry for the delay on this folks. We have now added a "hard%" to the leaderboards! (we called it "4/20%" due to some suggestions, this may change in future though)
