With the discovery of the "menu bug" the game rules will be updated to allow for this.
Previously the rules were worded as "...player control becomes available", which this new bug technically bypasses.
The updated rules remove the "player control becomes available", and simply states that the timer starts as the game fades in. This does not affect any previous runs, with all still being valid as is.

There have been a few runs submitted where the video appears to be edited. Certain sections sped up, etc when compared with other runs on the same line/pathing.
Why anybody would bother to edit a video and cheat at a game that costs a buck is beyond me.
