The following Patch for Console shows why we should consider what happens.

Update (Jan 27): here are the patch notes

¤ Fixed potential loss of item in cursor slot when clicking the bundles tab in the pause menu. ¤ Fixed crash when hatching / buying baby blue chickens. ¤ Fixed crashes that sometimes occur when clearing quests out of the quest log. ¤ Petting a fully-happy animal no longer wraps happiness around to 0. ¤ Animals with a deluxe product no longer produce less at higher happiness. ¤ Fixed the golden pumpkin duplicate item exploit. ¤ Using Exit to Title and then loading up a different file ‘carries over’ some values and world state between games. This affects, among other things, the availability of chests in the mines. ¤ Possible fix for fertilizer boxes being placed instead of fertilizer.

That means if this Patch gets to PC, 95% of all Categories are unbeatable.

If we don't find a Solution to this, we might need to wipe the whole Leaderboard.

A 100% nuke to all leaderboards would be kind of cool if the next patch is actually stable. I have a feeling they will forget to fix some of the less mainstream glitches though.

The only reason pumpkin glitch was likely fixed is due to it being the most known glitch in the entire game.

I know im not a part of this community, but I do watch all the speedruns lol. Speaking to a few people (like a man named Dalet, idk if he does this thing anymore or not) but you can easily downpatch most games. Not sure if that's the route you want to take with this, but it's a pretty viable option.

Even then I think you guys are already aware of downpatching the game and know how to do it, as it seems you have a misc category for an older (?) patch.

No, we are not aware on how, because the executed file mostly gets replaced.

I'm in favour of a leaderboard nuke, looks like we're gonna have to find some new strategies without those pumpkins.. This could add hours to new runs!

EDIT - From what I've read, this patch is only for console - I just tried the glitch on PC and it works fine.. Does this mean we should separate the leaderboards into PC/console? Although, I assume that the glitch will be fixed on PC, soon.

We'd be able to just download an older version of the game off one of the various sites that have that kind of thing. But I'm not convinced that all the runs are unbeatable just because the pumpkin glitch is going away. Waiting for halloween takes a lot of time.

Yes the only board that will still stand after this patch is Crafts Room. That even did beat the old 1.0 time, without Pumpkin Dupe.

I think if you're going to empty the boards empty all of them even if the run doesn't use the glitch just for fairness and consistency. As for using an old patch I would rather not have to illegally download the game just to run if it can be avoided

Not that I'm not biased, but Mines% Level 50 runs can probably stick around too.

I will have a look into the patch notes.

But if we wipe them, then a complete wipe would be better.

The Leaderboard will get Versionnumbers.

We found a way to revert back patches over Steam.

It's a bit of work, but I will post a Tutorial on how to do it.
