hello! im wondering if i can submit a whole bunch of IL 2 player runs, without an on-screen timer. it's 30 levels all in one video, recorded with a mobile phone, so i dont really have the tech or patience to add a timer. since my runs are pretty bad and all the categories are empty anyway, would milliseconds/exact time measurements be necessary? i dont wanna submit all of em just to be rejected lol (heres the video)
Hey! Welcome to Snipperclips!
We wouldn't mind if you did a run and there wasn't a timer on, that is no issue at all.
However, and this you might like a little bit less, if you could make separate videos for every level you're submitting. This makes no sense for people wanting to see the runs.
If you already have a big video, you can easily cut them in 15 little videos with LossLessCut, amazing program.
I'm totally willing to do that, but would it work to just post the timestamps in the description of each run?
I just learned that the video editing app i use cant split videos the way i thought it could, so if i could do timestamps instead thatd be great
We'd rather not, as I watch embedded videos on SRC, so don't read the description.
oh i mean like on the description of the run directly on src, not in youtube ._. would that be fine
The problem is that it's a pain for anyone watching to have to search through an hour-long video just to find the one level that was submitted, and to do that 30 times is even worse.
There's a bunch of options you can use to get separate videos for each IL you are submitting. One option is YouTube's clipping functionality to get clips of the main video for each level:
Or you could try free video editors like DaVinci Resolve or OpenShot. Or there are websites out there that will cut videos for you for free if you just search "video cutter" or "video splitter." Here's one I found with a quick Google: https://online-video-cutter.com/
