This is an auto splitter that works on real (and clone) consoles (both NTSC-U/J and PAL) with the usage of the SD2SNES or FX PAK. (in theory i believe this would also work on a SNES mini if it's modded.)
As of right now there are 3 versions of the autosplitter.
- "general-no_autostart" it works on all regions and for both GP and All Tracks. Starting the timer is manually done.
- "gp-autostart" Same as General but this automatically starts the timer when you press a button on the title screen.
- "alltracks-autostart" Same as General but this automatically starts the timer when you hit "Yes" to start a timetrial.
Installation process:
-
Install Qusb2snes.
-
open Qusb2snes (it will hide itself in the taskbar. it only needs to be running to work)
-
download your desired version of the autosplitter
-
download the livesplit component and place the dll file in the "components" folder thats next to your livesplit.exe
-
open livesplit (make sure your game is set to "Super Mario Kart" in the edit splits window)
-

-
click the plus button and add the "USB2SNES Auto Splitter" component that can be found under the "control" tab

if you havent already, connect your sd2snes/fxpak to your pc with the usb (make sure it detects your device)
-
then for the config file, navigate to the downloaded autosplitter file.
-
Optional: tick the "reset snes on timer reset" if you wish, it will reset the game if you reset your timer.
-
in the splits section you want to set every drop down tab to "race finished"
-
Optional: if you want your subsplits to be cup rta accurate, add an extra split between the cups and give them the "podium finished" instead of "race finished"
Usage process:
once you've installed it once using it again is simple.

- Connect the usb to the flashcart
- Open livesplit
