Hey, this is my first post here, I fancied trying to speed run a game which is not too long and was something I enjoyed as a kid so the PAL any% run for this game felt like a good starting point.

I have tried to break down the run into its various bits and I can get to the main air walk bit ok, but for the life of me I cant do more than 4-5 airwalks consistently. I have a PS4 and 5 controller but I dont think they would be any easier and im not a great masher anyway, so does anyone have any advice on how to be more consistent with those air walks?

hey! Cool to see people interested in that category! Anyways, I don't know what keybinds you use or what your mashing strat is, but I suggest using 1 hand to hold Right and your other hand to tap Down. It's not really about mashing, since optimally you want to release Down for 3 frames before repressing it, so I also suggest just practicing timings rather than mashing speed

Hey thanks, your guide is the one I have followed up to that point :D just I saw in your other vids you were using the original hardware and im just on an emulator so cant find a nice way to do it, and on the keyboard it is a bit longer to press down etc.

If its more about timing than mashing I will see if I can practice doing that, thanks for taking the time out to answer, and thanks again for putting together the guide.

The other videos linked on the guide aren't mine, they're Joecurr's. I play on emu and keyboard too. My PB has a keyboard cam if it can be any help showing off how I do the air walk (video is timestamped)

I tried my other keyboard which has better actuation and thats pretty consistent for doing it, althought im not sure if thats considered cheating if you are using specific switches, like I couldnt do this strat on a regular keyboard :D
