Been a little busy so haven't had time to write this out, but there have been some adjustments to pause buffering. No rules except 1 have been changed.
As well as this post, Separate Ways has had its max time paused changed from 5 minutes to 3 minutes in order to reflect the length of the run.
tldr; runners have began abusing pause buffering to the point where it's easily passing the max allowed pausing time.
We have been a little lax on this but as of late it's gotten really bad, no rules regarding it are being changed other than the Separate Ways rule and it's not being banned. BUT we will be looking at runs more thoroughly and being more strict on this as it's gotten a little out of hand.
To this effect, I have also made an addon tool to the autosplitter that can track how long you've been paused for.
This will help both runners and moderators, and will automatically appear whenever you start a run on either main game or dlc. (This will also help us track if you're going for an actual break which is separate)
We understand some of you won't be happy with this change, but unfortunately we can't please everyone and some people are also unhappy with the amount of pause buffering that's being done at the moment.
