Multi-player runs

I think it would be great to have multiplayer runs to add more challenge and make speedrunning pm 6:06 more fun. I believe it should currently only be available for "full game" categories as having it for individual levels don't provide as much more content. Currently I believe we should start with just a duo category for this and expand later

I think the rules should be very similar to solo but with these additions:

  • All players need to beat the last level (no one can fully die)
  • All players need to submit their POV to validate a run
  • Any glitches are banned including : Carry Clipping, Clicking buttons while dead through walls (often done in sub 18)

Most other games include multi-player runs with an example being doors so i definitely believe this should be added even if it is not used right away

if i were to add a multiplayer category i think glitches should be allowed in skips runs, since it will actually be a reason why multiplayer saves time

my biggest concern with adding multiplayer is that, as far as i know (for glitchless at least) it doesn't actually change the speed of the game at all. for example, with doors, having multiple people speeds up doors 50 and 100 and allows for the players not out in front to stay behind and look for items. but with pm 6:06, the multiplayer runs would just essentially be two people playing the game side-by-side and not really benefitting each other.

if i'm not wrong also, the boss health scales with how many players are in the lobby so it might actually make the boss fights slower instead of faster

I understand that but i would really like something to keep speedrunning a little more entertaining especially as 1-20 no skips is really challenging like i was so sad that i got a 19:14

although it might not make the game play faster it would make it more of a challenge

some sublevels would be faster in multi-player mainly when you get into underpinning here are the sublevels that would be faster not including bosses

25 : people can enter codes while one person gets buttons

35 : giant time saves here

36 : people entering the code

that is 20% of the current levels in 1-40 no skips

Not to mention there will likely be more sub level with more than 1 button in 41 - 50
