I recently decided to pick this game up for speedrunning, as it is one that I enjoy immensely and am quite passionate about. I believe this game has the potential to be an interesting speedrun, and i'd love to see how far we can take it ^_^

While I currently don't possess any sort of streaming or recording equipment (not counting ps4 share since it pauses on every cutscene), I have timed a few legend mode any% normal runs using the speedrun assistant app for IOS, and have a current personal best of 5 hours, 25 minutes with still some time to save.

I am not the greatest at taking notes (since most of them end up as a disjointed stream of consciousness), but I am currently trying to compile a list of strategies and routes that might help. I may start a thread with the things I have for now, then update it when necessary.

Finally, a question: are there any specific rules for Any% NG+?

Hello and welcome to the game hun! Hope to compete with you :) I use PS4 as well and you can use the "Save Video Clip" option..it is what I have been doing for IL runs and working on Segmented run while I practice the stages lol.

Far as I know the only rules for NG+ Any% is to time it RTA and any character is usable at any time.

Welcome, Samdaharu~ The rules are listed as: "Timer begins when you select "Start Battle" and gain control of your character in Prologue 0-1. Timer ends when you defeat Donquixote Doflamingo in 5-4.

Any difficulty or character may be used. You may use Free Mode or Story Mode. Limited to Single Player.

Time used is RTA." So go ahead and play whoever tickles your fancy the most!

No problem hun. Oh, on the video save clip...make sure you change the duration from 15 minutes to an hour! Will make it a lot easier on yourself. It is what I do fro this game and the other games I run...this game being the only one I have that doesnt allow for streaming through ps4. Also recommend getting at least the character(s) you wish to use throughout pass their limits if you are running NG+...makes it a lot easier for the runs.

Yeah, i'm working on the platinum trophy (since I made the switch from ps3 to ps4 on a different psn account), moslty for the skills (making territories easier to capture, etc.) The little things :)

I understand that. I am still getting some stuff myself in terms of skills...basically gotta get the crew levels up and work on platinum trophy myself. Do hope to see you though. These boards need a bit more love
