Why is this a requirement? My previously verified runs have been taken down and a WR potential run was rejected. I respect that this is a rule, but I don’t understand why.
The main reason is to avoid cheating in the game, especially given its simplicity. (And one of the main moderators @Forg1ven is very principled about this issue).
Especially for runners claiming a world record - they must be Reference so that this rule is maintained for future new runners.
I tried to redo my run for almost 5 hours tonight and had awful luck. To be honest, I'm really disappointed that my run got rejected and my moral is pretty low. I don’t know if I’ll be doing anymore runs :/
