Lets say that a player was doing the same set seed runs over and over and then they got board so they decide to do random seed runs. After a few bad random seeds they load up a new random world and it happens to be the set seed that they were doing early. I know that is is astronomically small, but what category would they go in and what would happen?
If this happened, RSG would pretty much die due to it being pretty much impossible for that run to be beaten. However, it would still be RSG, as long as you could prove you actually randomly got that seed. I don't know how you could prove that you did.
probably doesn't need to be worried about, as the chances of that happening are next to impossible.
also, the runner have to realice yet about the coincidence and know how to play the set seed well, and knowing that he just have 1 oportunity for the run, it would probably not be a 3 minutes RSG lol but yeah probably nice WR if he dont die or even if he die
yeah the runner would have to be a leaderboards ssg runner to properly play the seed. never gonna happen.
First of all, it isn't possible because the set seeds used are not able to generate randomly and so you wouldn't be able to get it in an rsg run in the first place. Secondly, even if it was possible to be randomly generated, you wouldn't be able to submit it because there is just a logical rule where no two runs can have the same seed. It's just not explicitly mentioned cuz well... no one expects two people to have the exact same seed out of the 2^48 seeds there are. (btw 2^48 is 281 474 976 710 656). Even so, the chances are so low to the point where no one would believe you. I wonder where I've heard that from.....
its like dream's chance of speedrun luck to happen , so no
I think you guys aren't understanding the point. It's NOT possible to generate the seed randomly LUL. There are certain seeds that are simply not possible to be generated
@pooply Wdym? That doesn’t make any sense, why would there be seeds that are not possible to generate randomly?
@Freehills dawg that's not what you should do. just be patient. minecraft is the most popular speedgame in the world rn, a lot of runs come through and mods have lives too.
@strawby But if you use a seed finder doesn't it find an existing seed, and not generate a new one?
@Karl_Maks It's what I've been told by numerous people. I have no idea how seed finding works. I actually had the question of getting an SSG seed in RSG months back and I was told SSG seeds couldn't be naturally generated.
@strawby I think it's fake. I think an SSG seed could be in RSG. If you first randomly generate a world, then type in the seed, the world doesn't change. So why would it not work the ither way around?
