guys can we settle on some common nomenclature for the skips?
so far it seems like we agree on:
1: crow skip being when you skip the first crow dialogue scene. 2: dog skip being when you skip the scene where the dog barks at you and (potentially) where the crow speaks to you a second time
I am aware that there is a clip through a door in the artist's garden discovered by Noelle yet to be named. Any other skips that we discovered we should discuss here.
i say the skips should be
Crow Skip - skipping the first introduction dialogue with the crow Door Skip - clipping through the door in the artists garden Dog Skip - skipping the dog barking cutscene Quest Skip - skipping the second crow dialogue where he gives you the shiny things quest dialogue
there are a lot of different clips that arent useful and thereby havent been named.
So far, we've called them First & Second Crow skip, door clip, (previously) gate clip (this was not a good name imo). Now there is a new clip that replaced gate and that doesnt have a name but I would be fine with dog skip as it was explained to me that skipping the first crow auto skips the second crow.
as to wether or not things are called clips or skips im honestly fine either way but skips are generally named after what is skipped versus clips being named after the thing you are clipping through.
If I were to give a list of 'skips' theyd be the following:
- House Skip
- Crow Skip
- Door Clip (name up in the air)
- Dog Skip (this skips the proposed quest skip automatically)
obviously of these house skip is the least important to be named as it is less a skip and more just part of the route, even though it feels as though it is unintended with how annoying it is to jump on that red thing straight on.
If I were to give a name to what was previously gate clip I would prefer it be called something along the lines of double clip, or rail clip, or something along those lines. although it is slower and harder than dog skip. it did accomplish skipping the dog and crow, though, so it was a thing that existed for a couple days until current dog skip.
Not to worry! Accessing it is as simple as it was the last time it was removed. Navigate to the local files (manage local files through steam), and open the .exe. This will launch the game.
The demo was taken off the steam page indefinitely because of the new fee structure Unity is introducing. It
