GCO Treasure route

this route is a little bit hastily put together and might thus be hard to use as actual notes, just use this as a base if you want to make notes.

:::TREE:::
1: right in the way, you can't miss it
2: inbewtween the flowers. suck up the aligator, try to shoot at quickly as possible, if you kill the flower jump early and unpuff the block away
3: suck up the second aligator, make sure you don't break the second bomb block!
4: down to the left, the button section. grab wing, the down smash will help with the double buttons.
5: after the first body of water, above the two beakable blocks
6: when going over the lava, make sure not to destroy the middle block. Go up left to break the block to release it, go back to get it
7: the small platform with the bomb block underneath, break the bomb block, go down right
8: all the way up this time. Break the first block, go the right. it is in the upper block where the one block down is
9: go a little to the right, break the two breakables and the one that block the water flow. If you have wing go to the waterflow and break the last block with flaps, else go further to the right to break it first.
10: to the upper left after bonkers, go into the cannon.
11: go up one ladder then all the way down the next. care for the gordo's!
12: in the middle of the room, simply destroy the bomb blocks
13: the last cuttable platform, it's down there 

:::CRYSTAL:::
14: when in the water all the way down, under the breakable blocks
15: above 14 Keepo
16: go left, click the first button, water should fall down
17: the button in the water, make sure you hover above the gap so the chest won't fall down
18: behind the barrier with the button
19: go up, it's on a ledge to the left
20: break the bomb block ont he right, it's in the door there
21: right next to 20 (> ^ - ^)> POYO <( ^ - ^ <)
22: go up, when you defeat the Poppy Bro sr. it falls down

23: go into the middle door, go up through the water then down again, break the first star block you see after the zig zag
24: on the third spiky drop, go left, should be right there
25: go down into the water, make sure you get this one, you only have one chance or you'll lose a minute

26: right door, go down, should be inside one of the breakable blocks on the far right side
27: back up, hit the button on the up left, after things clear up it's right there, care for spikes
28: hit the bomb block on the bottom when you see it, care for tacs here, they suck
29: go down towards the gordo there. Go through the section(jet is best here) it's all the way on the right

:::Tower:::
make sure you have wing when entering here
go into the upper door, go left
30: after the second stone, go farther right into the sleepy room, if you're not certain you can go through without hitting one of them, helper the wing, you definitly need wing for later on
31: go back up, it's on the left of the three floating platforms(under the door)
32: into the door, then it's up
helper wing here, grab stone, again, need it for later
33: when all the way on the top go left. jump to the left as quickly as possible
go into the boss room next to set up the deathwarp, go back out
use stone to break the blocks, go right
34: in the room with the body of water in the middle, go up, destroy the block with stone
35: go into either the left door or the right door. let the wing helper cut the platform then break the peg, deathwarp after getting the treasure
fight chameleo arm go to the right. go into the cannons to the left.
36: hit the button then go up as quick as you can, there's a black tile that acts as a door
37: go right on the cannons, go up, there's a hidden door above the block in the middle of the line platforms
go back into the cannons, then up, you should be outside the tower again, go into the upper door then go right
38: break the first bomb block you see, it's right under there
39: the room after that, use the jet charged jump to break the bomb block right at the start. take the catapult to the treasure
40: hit the button, try not to destroy the bomb block, you need the hammer ability from bonkers for another chest later on
41: the room after bonkers, hit the bomb block and go down, it's after the third cannon.
go back up and to the right
42: when entering the main room, go up, it should be after the second cannon. stand under one of the blocks then jump and hold up. after getting the chest, hold R or L to shield the gordos
go into the door to the left. break the peg with hammer go down the elevators. you don't need hammer once you've reached the elevators
43: go up, grab fire to defeat Jukid, the chest falls down after defeating him
helper Fire go to the next room
44: go down into the water, let Fire Leo light the fuse and get into the cannon it's right there
45: go into the lower door, it's in the middle. after grabbing the chest, deathwarp to the start of Tower, go to the left

:::GARDEN:::
46: hit the button, it's in the round tile that appears, care for getting hit
47: grab jet and charge up to full on the that platform. stand to the right. time your B press into the middle and hold down. fall down and it's there
in the main room, go the right first
48: after the first set of cannons
49: after defeating Bugzzy
50: break the bomb block with all the things inside, it's almost impossible not to get hit, don't worry
51: helper Jet, grab Crash, crash the button open and go grab that chest, right after that it's the star
go into the left door
52: at the highest point, there's some grass. press down on the on with the waterfall beneath it
53: the middle cannon, you need to light the fuse for it, be sure not to break the lowest block
54: go into the left cannon, make sure the blocks are broken, go into the first door you see, right button ;)
55: go to the right door, this is the room with all the electricity and spikes
56: go to the left, then fall into the left gap, there's nothing on the right, first door you see all the way on the top
57: go all the way up, helper wheel to do a wheelie ride to grab Tire, fitting (> ^ - ^)> POYO <( ^ - ^ <)
58: go through the gap on the left, then go down into the right door there. you see where it is right three
59: grab cutter and make sure you only cut the left most platform. then cut the left one again, and go to the right to claim your prize
60: room with the springs, go all the way down, if you hand all the way to the left or right, you can do a down B to easily break the block and not hit the spring. get the TRIFORCE and sell it to Ganon

Meta Knightmare Ultra IGT extensive point guide

So this is a basic point route guide which does take into account the Megajumps, note that most megajumps dont take up too many points(2) and i have already made a guide which explains how most of them work.
As always, make sure you watch a run or two either with this guide or before reading this guide so you can see the spots more clearly.
Also, for newer runners if you Heal, you HAVE to skip the next Meta Quick since this will screw up your point counts.

**:::Spring Breeze:::**
If you're gonna go for the megajump after Whispy, make sure you get the waddle doo in the first room. Otherwise you can jump over him and do a spinning slash off of the raised platform to get your positioning right for the rest of the room

**MQ(Meta Quick): **right after killing poppy bro sr. Look at a run to see how to do it without standing still
**MQ:** after Whispy. If not going for the megajump, do a lunging slice and then the MQ, else, look at the megajump guide.

Make sure you have at least 19 points before fighting Mr. Frosty. If you have less than 24 points, make sure you do get Mr. Frosty's points so you'll end up with at least 24 points before grabbing the star. If you don't have this amount of points, reset.

**MT(Mach Tornado):** lololo&lalala, make sure to not do it early.
**MQ:** after defeating lololo&lalala. You can do it on the same screen if you time it correctly, it's a visual cue for when the points hit you

Make sure you have at least 20 points before entering the fight with Kracko(not Kracko Jr.).

**MT: **DeDeDe. You can either MT then wait 10 frames to do a lunging slice. Or you can do it the other way around(make sure to wait the 10 frames)

**:::Dyna Blade:::**
**MQ: **at the start of the second room. Doing the megajump has no effect on the point route.
**MQ:** at the start after the previous room. Do this so you can lunging slice jump onto the ladders
**MQ:** in the next room, after passing the sir Kibble on the high platform. This is to have a nice timing for the next MQ
**MQ:** after entering the castle. Megajump does not affect the point route

AUTOSCROLLER HYPE! do a little dance.

**MQ:** after the autoscroller. Do one lunging slice, and try to MQ during it then do another lunging slice before going into the door.

If not going for the Megajump in the next room, simply do a lunging slice and jump then lunging slice to break the bomb block.

**MT: **Bonkers. Try not to do it too early, but at the same time, try not to be too slow.(makes sense huh)
**MQ: **at the start of the room after Bonkers. This is to insure a nice timing later on.
**MQ: **right after it runs out. This should be in the windy room during a jump, this might be a little tricky, but try to do it as fast as possible to make sure you have a proper timing for the next one.
**MQ: **again, right after the previous one runs out. This should be either right before the door to the room with catapults, or right after entering that door. Timing doesn't matter anymore.
**MQ: **at the start of the room after the room with Bugzzy.

After this room you should have points in the range of 36-42 points

**MQ: **at the end of the room with the waterfalls, or at the start of the room with the cannon. right now you should have points in the range of 32-38 points.

Pay attention to your points now. if you have 38 points after entering the room before the boss rush, you can MQ during this room. Make sure however that you farm up enough to get at least 43 points before leaving this room. If you do not have 38 points, just farm up a bit, don't worry, it doesn't lose too much time(maybe a second or so).

**MT:** Bonkers, again, not too late or too early you should have at least 18 points right now.
**MQ:** after defeating Iron Man. Doesn't really matter when, if it is at least done before you get timed into the next room
**MT:** Dyna Blade. You can MT the moment the health bar appears(With Dyna Blade offscreen), but if you delay to 3/4 of full health, you can see where Dyna Blade has spawned so you can react to it better.

**:::Great Cave Offensive:::**
**MQ: **right at the start. Make sure you get enough points during the next few rooms.

You should have at least 18 points before entering the room with lava.

**MQ: **during the jump over the lava.
**MQ: **the moment after the previous one has run out. you should have at least 15 points by now.

Farm up to at least 30 points before entering the boss room, any extra points will create a fail-save for the rest of GCO and if done right even gives you extra points in Revenge of Meta Knight

**MT: **Fatty Whale. He'll do either of 2 patterns.
	1: He goes for a big jump. lunging slice him as fast as it'll do damage to him. Interrupt your slice with the MT. either do a spinning slash or another lunging slice to finish him off
	2: He goes for a series of small jumps(splashing before he's on screen is the cue). Jump meta chop him whilst he's in the air then lunging slice. Interrupt the lunging slice with the MT

**MQ: **right before leaving the boss room.
**MQ: **at the start of the room after falling down. You should have at least 19 points here, but you'd rather have something like 21.
**MT: **the Magician of Computer Virus. You can only hit him when he's on the ground, the cue is when you see the dust clouds.
**MQ: **right before leaving the boss room. Doing it here gets the timing nice for the next MQ.
**MQ: **the moment the previous one runs out, this should be around the moment you hit the minecart tracks

You should have at least 16 points before getting the button points. Make sure to have 30 points before entering the boss room. It's nice to have more than 30 points so you have extra points in Revenge of Meta Knight

**MT: **Wham Bam Rock. There are multiple strats out there to get him low enough, but the base rule is two meta chops before the MT

**:::Revenge of Meta Knight:::**
**MQ: **at the start of the room.

You should have at least 5 points when fighting Heavy Lobster.

**MQ: **the room after defeating Heavy Lobster. If not going for the Megajump, simply jump. For the Megajump, the summoned knight should be able to regain the points he cost you.
**MQ: **right after defeating Iron Man.

AUTOSCROLLER HYPE! do a little dance, you've got a minute for it.
You should have in a range of 31-38 points right now.

**MT: **Double whispy woods.
**MQ: **the room after grabbing the star.

Make sure you have at least 28 points after exiting the room after the MQ room

**MT: **double Bonkers. If you stand on the right of both Bonkers they will both fall to the left after being defeated, giving you an easy lunging slice to finish them off.
**MQ: **at the end of the flapping part.

After entering the cannon you should have points in the range of 12-20 points

**MQ:** the room after fading out to the cannon.
**MQ: **in the room with the elevators, you can do it as early as you want. You should have at least 26 points right after the MQ
**MT: **Jukid and Poppy Bro Sr. Immediately go to the left of the two spawning then MT. This makes them fall to the right, once again making for an easy lunging slice to kill them
**MQ: **right after Main Cannon #2. No real change with Megajumps

before entering the boss room, you should have points in a range of 46-50. Remember this point count.

**MT: **Heavy Lobster II, before the MT you should have hit two meta chops and two lunging slices
**MQ: **after the room with the cannons, the windy room. If you had less than 50 points before entering Heavy Lobster II, do the Megajump.
**MQ: **after the elevators, if you had 50 points before entering Heavy Lobster II.
**MT: **the moment you enter the reactor room. Be careful not to do it a room early, it can happen.

**:::Milky Way Wishes:::**
You should have at least 10 points when entering here. Get a few points here and there, and after the first tree, start farming by doing two lunging slices. Do this twice then MQ, you should have points in the range of 22-28 points.

**MT: **Double Whispy woods
**MQ: **second room of Aquarius.

Next up you can either MQ right after this room, but it is a bit hard and takes some practice. Else you can delay your MQ to the room with the currents. Make sure you have at least 30 points after this room.

**MT: **Fatty Whale, again, fatty can do 2 patterns
	1: Big jump, Lunging slice him as quickly as you can deal damage and interrupt with MT. Try to hit him with a spinning slash then a lunging slice. This doesnt always kill so there is a chance to hit him once more.
	2: Small jumps(again, cue is splashing), do a meta chop, then lunging slice through him. Try not to do this too early or you'll facetank him. Then do an up thrust, followed by the MT.

**MQ: **second room after the Fatty whale fight.
**MQ: **at the start of Hotbeat. Farm your way through so that at the second room you'll have 36-38 points.
**MQ: **second room of Hotbeat.

If you have 34 points at the two bomb guys you can do another MQ, if you do the Megajump, this might not be attainable.

**MT: **Chameleo Arm. Do one meta chop and then do a lunging slice which you interrupt with the MT.
**MQ: **right after defeating Chef Kawasaki.
**MQ: **right after defeating Bonkers.
**MT: **Wham Bam Rock, you need two meta chops(or spinning slashes, strat difference) and a lunging slice, interrupt with MT.
**MQ: **the second room of Mekkai.
**MQ: **the next room, after hitting the button that spawns the blocks.
**MQ: **The second room after Heavy Lobster III, it's a little hard to do this room without grabbing the star, but with practice it's a lot faster.
**MQ: **as the previous one dies out.

At this point, try to farm up to at least 31 points before entering the virus fight, if you want to be safe about your points, go up to 40, if you want to heal BEFORE the Virus fight, save up 41, you can't heal after Virus if you MT on Galacta Knight

**MT: **The Great Dragon of Computer Virus II. Hit him down to a max of 190HP then MT, be fast though or else your MT will miss
**MT: **Galacta Knight, hold on to your points until he goes into the center of the screen for the third time, then quickly MT. This has a chance to kill, if it doesn't, up thrust a couple of times.

Meta Knightmare Ultra Megajump Spots

IMPORTANT: DO NOT use this trick for 100%, this trick is IGT only since the in-game timer stops during Helper animations.

To Megajump you first need to know how to do the superslide. You do a lunging slice(running attack) and as fast as you can you use your touchpad to summon a helper(Knight Call). Without any inputs you should just slide over the ground at a decent speed. If you time a jump correctly however you can jump really far saving .5 to 1 second!
Each spot is a little different and i'll rank them as hard or easy, i'll also explain some of the small things that go along the jumps that you need to know to preform them without it messing up your point route.
 
**Megajump 1:**
**Location:** the room right after defeating Whispey woods in Spring breeze
**Difficulty:** easy/medium
**Points:** You need to make sure that in the first screen of Spring Breeze you kill the waddle doo(and if you're lucky you got the mushroom he is not necessary though) or else you won't have enough points to tornado Lololo & Lalala.
**Note:** Make sure you time your flap pretty late or else you'll get hit by the squid
**Unhelper:** you can unhelper anytime you want, and as late as mr. Frosty. Best is the next room when falling down

**Megajump 2: **
**Location:** second room of Dyna Blade
**Difficulty:** easy
**Note:** Try to delay your lunging slice that provides the jump as long as possible, preferably killing the parasol waddle dee.
This is also a good spot for practicing the timing of the jump since there's a lot of room and points to practice on.
**Unhelper:** as shown in the vid, you can do it earlier

**Megajump 3:** 
**Location:** the second room of Mallow Castle, or the second room after the room with Chef Kawasaki(in Dyna Blade)
**Difficulty:** hard
**Note:** You have a really short amount of time to use Knight Call and at the same time you have to properly time your jump as well. Jumping too early undershoots the platform and too late overshoots it. If you do under or overshoot it, hold up to get onto the ladder instantly.
**Unhelper:** during the autoscroller, pick a nice moment ;)

**Megajump 4:** 
**Location:** second room after the autoscroller in Dyna Blade
**Difficutly:** easy/medium
**Note:** try to delay the lunging slice again, also try to get the flap B at the proper timing or you'll facetank the mushroom

**Location:** the third room of Cacao Cave, or the windy room in Dyna Blade
**Difficutly:** easy/medium
**Points:** i personally think this sort off derps your points for later, but it's okay.
**Note:** this megajump is optional, i don't do it in runs but if you want to do them go ahead. The difficulty in this jump is that you have to Meta Quick during the jump and right after doing it try to time out the flap B correctly. The vid did it wrong, but with correct timing you can kill the Waddle Dee.
**Unhelper:** at the beginning of the next room i guess, i don't do this jump so make something up yourself.

**Megajump 6:** 
**Location:** the room after defeating Heavy Lobster in Revenge of Meta Knight
**Difficutly:** medium
**Note:** this megajump's difficulty isn't really the jump itself, but rather the fact that you can't practice it easily. Immediately after the jump you need to press B and after landing you need to try and do a lunging slice. This follow up is pretty hard and the vid failed it as well. Also the vid happens to be a full run, pls dont get caught up in watching it all. (If the vid doesnt work correctly, scroll to 14:09 for the jump) 
**Unhelper:** at the start of the Iron Man fight. This might mess up your timing a little, but with a little practice you'll get used to the new timing.

**Location:** the room after defeating Main Cannon #2 in Revenge of Meta Knight
**Difficulty:** easy/medium

**Location:** the second room after defeating Heavy Lobster a second time in Revenge of Meta Knight
**Difficulty:** medium
**Points:** this is a megajump you should only attempt if you didnt have 50 points before Heavy Lobster, if you had 50 points, you can go for the Meta quick on the last straight before Reactor without losing too many points. If you don't do the Megajump, use Meta Quick in this room still.
**Note:** you have limited space but it's not all that difficult. Try to do flap B's as follow up through the rest of the room
**Unhelper:** next room at the start. do not delay till elevator since the helper usually pushes you off the elevator

**Location:** the second room in Hotbeat(or Fire Planet)
**Difficulty:** hard
**Note:** you have a really small window to do the jump and you HAVE to B after the jump or you'll get hit by the Scarfy. Try to delay your B press by a couple of frames so you dont hit the peg but you do hit the scarfy without recoiling. It's annoying to fail it and even more annoying to practice it. If you dont feel you're good enough with it, DON'T DO IT during a run.

Meta Knightmare Ultra Speedrun Notes

    Here are my notes on this cool KSSU mode for you to use to improve your time :3
     
            - Movement Speeds
    First of all, you have to remember that different ways of moving yourself around have variable speeds depending on what you do, this is the most important thing to remember:
     
    Dash (>>B) > running jump (>>A) > running (>>) > Frame perfect flaps (TAS.) > spinjumps (>>AB) = dropslash (>A) > flaps (>A_A_A) > walking (>)
     
            - Drop Double Jump (DDJ)
    This trick is performed by dropping off a ledge, then pressing first B, then A.
     
    What this trick does is, as we understand it, store the property of you being able to jump (the game considers that you're still standing on a platform).
    However when you press A after dropping a ledge, it will flap your wings, no jumps there.
    What you have to do is release the storage, there are limited ways of releasing it and what i tested and happened to work is dropslash (B when dropping) or bonk on a wall (trigger the bouncing animation).
    Finally, now that the stored property is released, all you have to do is press A to jump.
    Yay! you just glitched the game \o/
     
    It's really easy to do, what i do basically is: Drop -> BA (quickly)
     
    there are some very convenient uses for this trick, like the little jump after beating Mr.Frosty in LVL4 (Halberd), and some other that you might discover by yourself (i'd be very pleased if you did so :)
     
     
            - Individual Level Strats

    Screen 1:
            Get at least two points there, so you can Meta-quick right afetr Poppy Bro in the second screen. you can get 4 points, but getting more make it really slow. i usually get 11:29 ~ 11:30 time stop after getting the star.
     
    Screen 2:
            My strat for Poppy bro is 3 long ranged hits (full life only) to prevent RNG, then dash-slash to kill him, and finally an upslash to finish him. Use Meta Quick as fast as possible after Poppy bro and try to slay two ennemies there (don't kill the tiger)
     
    Screen 3:
            Get as fast as possible to the door, don't kill anyone. sometime the waddle doo fucks you up, you can avoid that by starting with a spinning jump (>>AB)
     
    Whispy Woods:
            optimal movement is Slide (Down + A), align to the left hole, Downward Slash (Down + B), hold right, then Downward Slash right when you're touching the trunk of Whispy woods (The damage you do depends on how high you are on the trunk while doing the slash)
    There are different strats to damage WW, the one i use is for consistency, it's basically Timed Upslashes (Up+B).
    What you need to know is that WW takes more damage when you actually wait a little between two hits. optimal is a little bit above 1 second between each hit.
    Some people might wnat to try the faster strat, by doing Quick Downward Slashes (A > down+B VERY quickly), but i think it's too inconsistent to use in a speedrun. The TAS guy might like it though.
     
    Screen 5:
            What i do is Dash Slash the fighter while activating Meta Quick, kill the first squid only.
     
    Screen 6:
            Kill Everything ヽ(#ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ
     
    Screen 7:
            Don't kill leo, you can kill everyone else, though i usually don't kill the last bird, because i gain some time doing so.
     
    Mr.Frosty:
            You will have to Practice D:
     
    Screen 9:
            Do two Dash Slashes, it kills the 3 enemies there.
     
    Lololo & Lalala:
            MACH TORNADO   {{|}}   └(#ﾟДﾟ)┘   {{|}}
     
    Screen 11:
            Meta Quick as fast as possible.
    There's a cool strat involving three dropslashes done successiveley to kill the three enemies on you way in this screen. Check the video.
           
    Screen 12:
            Dash Slash as quickly as possible, you'll get hit by the spikes if you're too slow. jump and get to the door. Killing the Sir Kibble usually helps.
     
    Screen 13:
            Do a Spinjump.
     
    Cracko Jr.:
            My strat there is to dash to the right as quickly as possible, then do three Upslashes, and one Dash to the left. if done correctly that should be enough to kill him. It can however easily fail, so the only thing you have to do is normal slash him when he gets down.
     
    Screen 15:
            Get on top of the blocks, then you can do a fancy dash on top of them, if timed right, you will kill the flower and keep your speed. you will sometimes need to kill the Poppy bro Jr., but it isn't necessary.
     
    Screen 16:
            Make sure you have at least 20 points, if not just kill some people here. otherwise all you have to do is mash A. you can also jump on the platforms which is a little bit faster.
     
    Cracko:
            Upslashes works well. be sure to time you upslashes, He takes more damage if you wait a little between each hit (Not the same timing as Whispy woods. a little faster.).
     
    Screen 17:
            Door. Definitely the run killer. Practice a lot this room
     
    DDD:
            You have to do one Dash Slash before using a Mach Tornado (Or after, that doesn't really matter)
    You still need to know that if you Mach tornado first like i do, you have to wait 10 frames before Dash Slashing (Someone will hit me for this: http://i.imgur.com/oORl7gW.png)

RUNDOWN

Milky Way Wishes is the sixth game, and the second to last OG sub-game. The sun and moon are fighting, so you need to go to Galactic Nova (as Marx suggests.) You cannot inhale to get abilities for this sub-game. You need to get the "Copy Essences Deluxe". You find these thorought the game. You can access these abilities at any time you like, so collecting all of them can give you a lot of options. These essences are however required to 100% KSSU, so that's why we're here. Let's learn how to get the essences, and hey, we'll throw in some of that speed in as well.

Grass Planet FLORIA

Ice

When you enter the level, deal with the bird and the frog, then run into the door to reach Summer. Go through the door again to reach Fall. Go to Winter, and then go to the left. Enter the door, and get the first essence. 

Fighter

After you exit the Ice room, go into the door again until you reach fall. Go to the right (dealing with the enemies on the way), then go through the door over again until you reach Summer. There should be a clear door under you. Go through it, and you'll find your second essence.

Cutter

Go through the top door again, until you reach Winter. Keep being in Winter. Don't go through the first door and second door, go through the third one. Enter the third one until you reach Summer again. Go through the tree, and you'll find the last essence of Floria. 

After you get cutter, go to the right until you find the door by the tree. Enter it to reach Fall, go over the tree, and go in the sparkly door.

BOSS: TWIN WOODS

Just use Fighter. You don't have anything that can attack in two directions yet, so use Fighter. You can do whichever side you want. What is important, is whatever you do, do NOT get hit by the blow. It will add so many seconds to your run.

Water Planet AQUARIUS

Parasol

When you drop into the water, immediately go into the door. Next thing you are going to want to do is put on Cutter. Then, as you move through the water (go up if absolutely necessary), break the middle bomb block in the gap up top, and you should now be swimming with some urchins. Keep going right. When you go through the tight corridor, stay as high as you can, don't get into the downward water stream. Break the bomb block on the right of the tall pillar, and a door should replace the tree over there. Enter the door, to find the essence.

Sword

After coming out from the Parasol room, simply keep going right until you see a cannon. The cannon is not necessary to beat the game, and you can't even use it until you get an ability that can set things on fire. Don't mind the cannon. Go through the door, and you'll be placed in this bubble area. Go through the bubbles to navigate up and down quickly, but for the rest of this part, just move fast pog. You should now be in a "space" area. Hop down until you see until you see a door in the middle (not the door in the corner). Go through it. Parasol Drill through all of the Kibbles, until you get to the Suplex guy. I like to use Cutter for this part. After you defeat him, the Sword Essence should appear. Backtrack up to the door. (tip: use parasol when going up so a kibble doesn't bamboozle you when you're floating up.)

Beam

Go to the bottom right corner of the screen. Go into the door. You should now be in a corridor-esque room. To get to the essence: DOWN, DOWN, UP. The essence should be right there. Enter the door. It'll take you back to where you came in. To finish the level: DOWN, UP, UP, FORWARD, DOWN. That should take you to the boss.

BOSS: FATTY WHALE

Cutter. Must I say more? Try to stay out of the middle, as Fatty Whale may bamboozle you at a random time. Other then that, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Before heading to Skyhigh, go to the yellow flashing star. It should fit perfectly with the shape of the star Kirby is riding. You'll be taken to a world called "???". (some people call it "TAC World")  If you did it right, you should be in a negative colored forest with TAC's running around everywhere, with the file select music playing. Parasol Drill through all the TAC's, until you reach the door. When you get to the second screen, there should be a bomber by you (don't bother with it). Make yourself to the door again, and you'll be taken to an open area with the Copy Essence. Although not needed in any situations, this ability is required to get 100%. Don't fall!

Wind Planet SKYHIGH

Jet

After coming down from the star, go to the right. Keep going until you run into a gust. You should see a block above you. Use Parasol to break it, and float up. You should now be in a room with three Capsule J2s, as well as an essence. This ability is crucial to speedrunning, so it's good to use this as much as you can. (tip: this can be used to light the cannon in aquarius.)

Wheel

With Jet, light the cannon after exiting the Jet room. Do this by charging up your Jet right before the rope. Be very careful with the Frostys, they can be a MEGA nuisance. After making it to the cannon in time, Jet through the wheelies, and grab the essence. 

Wing

This is a tricky one. Take Wheel, and zoom across the screen until you make it to the door. Now you are in a maze. Follow these locations: LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, MIDDLE. Wing should be in the room. Now exit the room, and keep going: RIGHT, MIDDLE, RIGHT, and then the glowy door.

BOSS: Kracko

Use either Beam or Parasol. Either works. If you're real fancy, you can do a toss combo with Jet and Parasol. If you grabbed the invincibilty candy, you could wing bomb Kracko, but it completely depends.

Flame Planet HOTBEAT

Fire

With Jet, carefully move through the corridor. Don't break the bomb block until you find an invincibility candy. Once you gain invincibility, break the bomb block, and flap through the lava with Wing. Go through the door, and keep flapping up. Get the copy essence, and go through the door.

Suplex

Go through the door on the right. Ride the minecart (or don't). Advance forward until you reach the tower of food. There should be a minecart nearby. The second minecart has some blocks over it. Flap those blocks with Wing, and enter the door. Fight the Buggzy with whatever you like. After defeating it, get the essence. Exit the room, and continue to advance with the minecart. Be careful while moving with the minecart, as some stumps might troll you. Go through the door, and use Wing to advance through the area. Use the cannons to keep going right, and enter the door.

BOSS: Chameleo Arm

This boss is a bit annoying at times. Use Jet to blast through him in the ground. If he's on the wall, use Sword. Pretty simple stuff. When he's invisible, you need to keep a close eye, as his attacks are a bit more powerful when invisible.

Cave Planet CAVIUS

Bomb

Enter the door. Dash through the Ninja with Fire so he's not harassing you. Kill Chef Kawasaki. Keep going right until you find Poppy Bros Sr, and fight with him. The Bomb essence should now appear. 

Hammer

Go down after getting Bomb. Follow the path, then fall down into the hole with food. You should find Bonkers. Defeat Bonkers, and the Hammer essence should pop up.

Stone

Go right and down after getting Hammer. You'll go left and fight Bugzy. Go through the door. Go up until you find a pink switch. Take your Parasol, hit the switch, and move as fast as possible down to the gate. The rocks should be gone also. Enter the door, and grab Stone. Go through the door, then go right, and down. Find the sparkly door.

BOSS: WHAM BAM ROCK

Bomb or Hammer works. It's better to launch all your damage at as many attacks as you can. Don't wait for a specific attack. (except the grab, that's a little tricky to deal with).

Machine Planet MEKKAI

Yo-Yo

When you enter the stage, go up to the top of the level, and proceed to jump across the platforms. The cannons are needed to break the blocks. There are no abilities on the first screen. Grab the invincibility candy, and go through the door. Go into the small corridor up top with the Cutter guy. When you get to the gust, use Jet and dash to the other side. Jet up to the door, and go down the elevator. You should appear in a small room with the Yo-Yo essence.

Plasma

Come out of the Yo-Yo room. Break spin to the other side. Go up to the middle corridor with the switches. Use Yo-Yo and quickly hit all the switches as you go. Go through the door. Go to the middle, and ride up the elevator. Go all the way up top and head left. Fight Iron Mam, and grab the essence. Go down one floor, and fight Bonkers. The sparkly door should appear.

BOSS: HEAVY LOBSTER

Yo-Yo or Hammer is pretty good for this fight. Be careful of when Heavy Lobster spews out something. If it's fire, you need to pay attention to his hand. If it lights up for a second, get outta there! Not much else to note, other than staying behind him is key.

Eternal Planet HALFMOON

Two essences left! The final stretch! Let's go!

Mirror

When you land on the star, spam UP so you don't need to float up after landing on the ground. You will now be in a gusty area. Use any ability to dash through the enemies. When you see the star, dash to the left. You will be taken to the door. Enter the door. You should now be in an area with minecarts. Keep riding the minecarts until you reach the second minecart. On the lower part, break the star block, and float as you break it so you don't accidentally die. You will be in a room with the essence and two Simirros. 

Ninja

Exit the Mirror room. Enter the minecart. Keep riding until you reach the door. Ride the star, and you'll be put in a 1v2. Use Mirror. After defeating both bosses, ride the upward gust with Parasol. When you see the platform with the cannon and the sleepy guy, break the bomb block and go down. Kill the ninjas, and a one, and a two, and a three, you've collected every essence in Milky Way Wishes! 

Once you leave, get Parasol again, and float to the top.

BOSS: Computer Virus

The final piece of Star Power! Any ability works, I guess. Hammer is my pick, but other people use other strats. Point is, if you can deal a big amount of damage in a few seconds on a still target, go for it!

FINALE

(Spoiler Alert!)










Wait, why would there be spoilers for...nevermind.

When you go to Nova on the map, the "Marx's Mad Plan" cutscene will play, revealing Marx's true plan. After this, Kirby loses his star and is now floating in space. However, some star power reaches him, and creates a battleship (also seen in RotK). You now follow Nova to Popstar, and fight him.

BOSS: GALACTIC NOVA

The first part is a shooter type of part. Not too hard if you can position Kirby.

In all seriousness, this is a very quick fight if you can rock the A button. It may seem a bit stressful for some parts, but it's much easier then you think. After fighting Nova, you'll head down to the final fight in the OG KSS, Marx.

FINAL BOSS: MARX

This isn't too hard if Hammer is being used, but I will go over some attacks.

Ice Barf

Hammer Swing when Marx is barfing. Don't fly, as the bomb explodes when it meets your Y-Level.

Seeds

Go into a corner and guard. It's much less risky then trying to dodge (unless you're an absolute god)

Ground Exit

Hammer Swing over the ground. Or guard, if you're not confident in that.



After Marx is defeated, you officially beat Milky Way Wishes. The ending cutscene and credits play, and you unlock RotK and TA. Good job on making it this far!

this is without the early Jet mix in RotK and the candy mix in Dyna Blade, which would start at Stone and Mirror respectively

What to use the 100% save file from.

You must have DeSmuMe 0.9.11 for it to work.

1. Extract the .rar file.
2. Open DeSmuMe 0.9.11 and then click File -> Import Backup Memory
3. Use the .duc file for it. FRAM 256k bit is a good setting.
4. You've got 100%!

(WARNING: Make sure you have the JP version and the emulator required in order for it to work! It can cause a file corruption if you don't.)

Wing Zips

Wing Zips are a JP cartridge only glitch.

To zip you need to first have done a Dive Bomb Cancel (DBC), and without landing take damage from a source that puts you in a large amount of hitstun and has enough space so that it doesn't cancel the zip.

How far you were into a Dive Bomb before you canceled it will determine whether you zip downwards or upwards. If you did the DBC in the first quarter circle of the dive, thinking of the Dive Bomb as a circular motion, you will Zip upwards. And if you canceled in the second quarter you will Zip downwards.

Zips can be canceled early or extended by doing certain actions during a zip when you are out of hitstun. If you press A or Y to Flap during the zip you can cancel it early. If you press B to shoot feathers you can extend the Zip. Other actions can be done but these 2 are the best options to create desirable results.

In any% this zip should be extended and in 100% it should be shortened in case you get a zip that would go higher than you want.

For any% this zip should be extended, as shown, And in 100% it does not have to be influenced, if you zip at the correct location horizontally speaking it is possible to zip into the usually blocked off ninja door area without the need for breaking the bomb blocks.

Zip must be extended to reach the chest.

This zip seems to rather inconsistent (tight dbc timing), and the most unfavorable in terms of risk reward for runs, with the wind effect above forcing you to try and do a fast setup. Because rng making you drop your abilitiy, and this is a zip for gco, you also have no way to easily replace your lost ability if it is lost.
