1. Green Greens

The level starts with a pair of Waddle Dees, which can be sucked and shot respectively. Continue going down the path, sucking and shooting enemies as necessary. There is no need to go up until you reach a large wall, which you can simply fly over. On the other side, there is a mushroom that releases a ghost if sucked. Dispatch of both of them at once with an Air Puff, or suck the mushbroom and shoot the ghost. Inside the nearby house are two Pep Brews, each of which can restore a couple of health points. Back outside, defeat the regular mushroom and jump over the abyss. Deal with foes in front of you and continue advancing until you reach the Warp Star.

Poppy Bros. Sr.

This miniboss does two things: jump and throw bombs. Both of these actions can hurt Kirby. However, there are a few weaknesses. First of all, the Poppy Bros. Sr. will only jump in a few certain places. So long as you remain in place the entire fight, you're immune to his jumping. As for his bombs, they are the key to his defeat. Suck up the bombs he throws and spit them back at him. Three hits will finish him off.

You'll see several new enemies ahead, including Poppy Bros on Apples or Bulls, which must be defeated in two parts. Suck the bro and then shoot the steed. Some of the flying enemies will come down to attack, so be ready to press the B button to either suck or shoot at a moment's notice. Eventually, you will come across a doorway. Inside is a tower that must be climbed. Fly up, bypassing or destroying everything in your way. You will at one point see a Maxim Tomato on your left, behind a destroyable wall. Grab it if necessary. Be careful when going up the next part; it is patrolled by a rather quick moving Waddle Dee, which must be disposed of quickly and deliberately. Defeat the last couple of enemies above, and go through the door to face this stage's boss.

Whispy Woods

Whispy Woods has two main attacks. First, it can rain apples upon Kirby from above in groups of three. Second, it can shoot pellets from its mouth. The apples, which must be sucked and used to shoot Whispy Woods in order to deal damage, telegraph where they will fall and can be sucked, evaded, or destroyed fairly easily. The pellets are most easily dodged by hiding under Whispy's nose. Beware, it is also possible to get hurt by said nose.

Six shots will defeat this boss. Then, grab the Star to go to the next level.

2. Castle Lololo

This level takes place in a castle. Start by sucking in the enemy that jumps down from the wall above. Go in the door and jump over to the microphone. Press B to destroy all the visible enemies. From there, you can fly up to a room guarded by a cannon. Inside are two ghosts and two Pep Brews. Alternatively, if you already have full health, just go through the nearby door. Inside the hall, suck and blast enemies in your path. Beware the bomb; either suck it quickly or avoid it entirely to avoid it exploding.

The next room is more complicated. Masks will appear that are impervious to harm until they try to attack. There are two paths you can go by. The first, longer path takes you into an aquatic area containing a lot of enemies and a Pep Brew. Although you get Invincibility Candy later on, we suggest going left until you find a doorway, which brings you to the same place anyway. Inside are ghosts and floating Mumbies, which are immune to sucking. Suck the ghosts and spew them at the Mumbies, or alternatively destroy them all with Air Pellets. Then, take the Warp Star to the miniboss: Lololo.

Hey, it's that guy from Adventures of Lolo! He's your miniboss this stage. His gimmick is coming out of one of the four doors on the right, pushing out a block as a projectile, and running back in. He's actually fairly simple to defeat. Suck in his projectiles, and then blast them back at him before he runs away. Do this three times, and he will retreat. Go follow him.

Inside the next room is a pyramid of breakable blocks. Of you want, you can fly above it to find a doorway. You'll be surrounded by enemies, but don't worry! Go inside and defeat the two ghosts before grabbing the Pep Brew and the Spicy Food. The food will let you shoot fireballs until the clock runs out, making it easy to defeat the enemies outside. Alternatively, you can just remain low this section of the game and bypass these enemies completely.

Outside is a staircase with more enemies, including a bat. Defeat them either by using the fireballs from earlier or, if you've timed out or bypassed them, conventional sucking and spitting. The next room contains a lot of floating Gordos. Beware! These spiky enemies deal twice as much damage as other foes! Fortunately, you can float to the left to grab a Pep Brew if necessary. Ignore all of the doorways except for the one on the top right. Fly to it carefully, while avoiding being hit by enemies.

Outside is the second to last part of the stage. Quickly suck and attack the advancing enemies before they can hurt you. Jump up the stairs and go in the door and face the boss.

This boss fight is essentially the miniboss times two. Twice as many doors and twice as many enemies, each with their own independent three health points. They'll come out of a left and right door each at random, pushiing blocks all the way to the other side before emerging again.

The most obvious strategy is to simply suck the block and spew it out immediately, getting hurt in the process. Although doable, this is very risky, especially if you have less than maximum health to start off with. A better strategy is to run away a bit before shooting back the block, then either jumping up or falling down to the next level before you get hit. Patience is a virtue here, since you'll mostly want to hang around the middle two levels waiting for the right opportunity. Don't be afraid to run away, you have all the time in the world with this boss.

Eventually, you'll defeat one of the pair. The final part can take a while, but so long as you act rationally, you should be fine. When you're done, grab the star to complete the level.

3. Float Islands

This stage takes place on a relaxing island paradise. Compared to the previous stage, this section is much more straightforward. You must simply go to the right, while trying to take as little damage as possible. There will be long stretches of water that you must cross by floating over, which means you can't readily suck in approaching enemies, so focus on evading them. Falling into the water won't harm you, but you still can't suck and enemies may appear there. Once you reach the end, go through the door to go underground.

This subterranean area is a bit more maze-like, and most of the enemies here are Kabu. These cylindrical heads fly around unpredictably, and some can even teleport! There are also harmful stalactites and stalagmites, so be careful when flying around and watch where you land. There is an Energy Drink behind some star blocks after the first drop. Go right and fly up, then jump over the gap and suck away the star blocks to reveal a hidden door. Go through it and swim all the way down the following section to find a 1-Up at the end! Go through the door to return to the cave.

Go down the gap this time, and you will crush a Kabu when you land. Now you must go right, carefully maneuvering yourself to avoid touching the spikes that line the floor and ceiling. break through a few more walls of star blocks to reach the right end of the area. Fly up to the top of the cave to find a Maxim Tomato, then drop all the way down and clear the star blocks to go through the door.

After a small water section, you will come across a battleship with a Superspicy Curry that you can collect. Time your landing so that you avoid the Shotzo's cannonballs, then use your curry-granted fire breath to defeat as many enemies as you can. There is a door along the way that leads to a small room with both a 1-Up and an Energy Drink. Go all the way to the end and hop on the Warp Star to fly into a whale's blowhole. The whale will blast you up into the clouds. Make your way to the end of this small section and grab the Mint Leaf. This power-up lets you hovers infinitely and shoot out as many air puffs as you want.

Once you obtain the Mint Leaf, you will hover into the sky, where the evil blimp Kaboola will engage you. This boss battle plays out more like a traditional 2D shooter, in that you must simply shoot air puffs at it while avoiding its cannon shots. Kaboola will mostly fire a steady stream of cannonballs at you while flipping around to make itself harder to hit. It will also occasionally shoot three cannonballs that spread out, followed by trying to ram into you. It takes 40 air puffs to defeat it, after which you will land and collect the Sparkling Star.

4. Bubbly Clouds

Now that you're in the sky, you must be more careful about where you jump, as falling off the stage is an instant death. Carefully make your way across the clouds while dodging Shotzo shots as well as Dizzies that fly across the stage. You will eventually come across some hovering enemies called Scarfies. They can't be inhaled, and trying to do so will only anger them and make them chase you around. Once you reach a corridor with some pillars in the background, you no longer have to worry about falling, but Waddle Dees, Waddle Doos and Shotzos will descend from above. At the end, go through the door.

Go to the right and you will be attacked by some Sir Kibbles. Their projectiles can be sucked and and shot back at them. You must then carefully float past a spike-filled passage and emerge outside. Puffies will swoop down at you while Bront Burts speed across the screen as you continue right, leaving you little time to dodge them. Go through the door at the end to reach a cloud section. There are many Kooklers in this section along with a Gordo. They move in a preset but somewhat erratic pattern, so patiently observe how they move and maneuver around them. Find your way to the door to reach the mini boss.

Kracko Jr. is much trickier as a mini boss compared to the ones you've faced before, but he is still easy to defeat. He will first shoot four cannonballs that sweep across the screen, then swoop down at you with a zigzag pattern. Then, he will create a Waddle Doo and erratically move around the borders of the screen. Simply hover at the top left corner when he does his first attack, then suck and spit the Waddle Doo he creates, jumping after you do so to dodge his swooping attack.

You will fall down from a waterfall beside a Mint Leaf. Grab the Mint Leaf, then hover to the right and use your air puffs to clear the wall of star blocks. There are two Energy Drinks and one Maxim Tomato in the wall, but also some Gordos within, so you can risk getting hurt to replenish some of your health. After that is a maze of blocks followed with a floor of spikes that you must float over. Finally, float up the pillar to reach the door.

You emerge next to another power-up, the Superspicy Curry. Use it to blast apart the line of Star Blocks across the corridor, then go through the door. In the following section, keep floating up the screen while hugging the right wall until you come across a floating structure with a door. While the door leads to the boss, you enter a secret area by pressing Up dpad on the moon. The secret area contains several Maxim Tomatoes and 1-Ups that you must collect while falling down. At the end is another door that leads to the boss.

Kracko Jr. is back and deadlier than ever. It can swoop down at you or simply hover across the screen, while also gaining an attack where it rotates two beams around it. It can still create Waddle Doos, which are what you must suck in to spit at him. Be sure to hover at the top of the screen whenever he moves, and try not to stay too close to him too much in case he uses the spinning beam attack. It takes 6 hits to defeat Kracko.

5. Mt. Dedede

You have reached Mt. Dedede, but King Dedede has prepared one final challenge for you before you can fight him. Four of the previous bosses have returned, behind four doors in the hall of King Dedede's castle. In order to fight him, you must defeat all four bosses. You can fight each boss in any order, but you must do it without running out of lives, as continuing will mean you have to start the challenge all over again.

Green Greens
The pre-boss section is quite straightforward with only a few enemies. There is a particularly precarious section where you have to pass underneath a column while airborne without falling into the bottomless pit below. Past that is the door to Whispy Woods, blocked by a Gordo. You must jump over it and touch Kirby's doppelganger beside it to remove the Gordo, letting you enter and challenge Whispy Woods.

Compared to the challenges you've faced before, Whispy Woods should be a complete pushover. You can probably defeat him without taking any damage. As before, suck up the apples that he drops and spit it back at him to injure him. Defeat Whispy Woods and you will warp back to the main hall.

Castle Lololo
The level starts off with a climb up a tower, then a wide open area filled with enemies. They shouldn't be too big of a problem for you. Jump up the platforms from the start, then float all the way to the right to reach the boss' door. Again, a Gordo blocks the entrance, and you must collect the dancing Kirby on the nearby platform to remove it.

You will fight Lololo and Lalala once again. The fight is exactly the same before, so take your time and fight them patiently so that you don't lose too much health. Suck up their blocks and spit it back at them to deal damage. Use the multiple levels to your advantage, preferably staying below them so you can jump up and attack them after they pass you.

Float Islands
Watch out for the coconut that drops down immediately to the right of where you start. Compared to the previous doors, there is no chance of falling to your death here. Get to the right, then jump down to fall into a cave. Run toward the left, where you must carefully maneuver yourself across a path lined with spikes on the ceiling and the ground. Once again, a Gordo guards the door to the boss. Touch the dancing Kirby to the left of it to remove it.

Before you fight Kaboola, there's a cloudy section similar to Float Islands where you must collect the Mint Leaf. Your strategy for Kaboola is still the same, but you must be more careful when dodging her shots to conserve as much health as you can for the remaining boss fights. Keep shooting air puffs at her until she goes down, while swiftly dodging all of her attacks.

Bubble Clouds
The pre-boss section of this door is a long fall filled with a lot of enemies. You don't need to deal with any of them. Just slowly float to the ground while avoiding all of their attacks to reach the boss' door without hurting a single enemy. This time, the Kirby doppelganger is floating in midair. Just touch it to defeat the Gordo and enter the door.

Kracko will be the toughest boss you'll face among the four, due to how much more erratic its attack pattern is. However, you should be able to fight him more effectively the second time around, now that you're familiar with his attacks. Again, suck up the Waddle Doos it creates and spit them back out at him to damage him. Avoid getting hit at all, since the final boss fight is almost about the begin. Once you beat the last of the four area bosses, you will be back at the hall. King Dedede's face will now be on the wall. Go through it to begin the final battle.

As the last boss in the game, King Dedede is no slouch. He has a lot more attacks than previous bosses, is quite fast and the projectiles he creates that you must suck up and spit back at him disappear very quickly. King Dedede is also very tough, with a whopping 10 bars of health. However, he can still be defeated, if you learn to recognize his attacks.

Most of the time, King Dedede will just run at you. He will then either do a diving tackle or try to inhale you and spit you out. You can dodge both of these attacks by simply jumping, but King Dedede can also perform a high leap the sends him all the way to the top of the screen. He creates two stars on either side of him when he lands, which is the most reliable way for you to hurt him. Whenever he does his leap, get out of the way and suck up one of the stars when he lands and spit it back at him to damage him.

King Dedede can also run at you while holding his hammer up. If you're grounded or close to the ground, he will swing his hammer down, creating a star. If you're in the air, he will attempt to hit you by jumping up high and swinging his hammer. The star created from the hammer blow can also be spit back at him, but doing so is trickier. You must weave in and out from King Dedede when he runs at you with his hammer up, so that when he attacks you are close enough to suck up the star that he produces while avoiding the actual attack. If you try to dodge the attack by taking to the skies, try to leave some horizontal room for yourself to evade Dedede when he jumps up after you.

Once you defeat King Dedede, he will be sent flying out of the castle. With the power of the five Sparkling Stars, Kirby inflates into a huge balloon, lifting Dedede's castle from the mountain. Kirby floats all over Dream Land, dropping the stolen food all across it. Enjoy the credits as Kirby floats past a beautiful sunset. Congratulations for clearing Kirby's Dream Land!

Meanwhile, a disgraced King Dedede lands next to a large notice, telling you that you can now excess Extra Mode! If you think the regular game just isn't hard enough, press Up dpad,  A button and Select button at once to begin a new adventure...
