Hey Runner, Today we are doing some late summer renovations. Pimm already sacrificed his sanity and cleaned up the Preset Tag on the boards and added the new DLC characters. Give him a big thank you for that.

With the addition of the DLC two new characters are available without any unlocks which is why Fresh File has now 3 Sub Categories for each Character. We decided to do it that way to as each character has big differences and would cause the least problems in competition that way.

Furthermore something even more important : As many of you know, we dumped R1 as it was just easier R7 back then and people just ran the highest. With the addition of 1.0 and R8 things changed a little bit as R8 adds significant differences that are only available with it. Though in recent updates, R8 has become a massive -often unfun- RNG-fest filled with Shields and Immortality events. The DLC update added some new fresh air into reincarnation in form of "Spirit Link" and "Mysterious Jokul" mode. This brought up the question :

Should we add R1 to the board again ?

R1 may be faster than nightmare due to blessings and such, but the new additionsbring a little bit more variety to runs. Additionally the modes are valid for both R1 and R8 difficulty and as advice you should activate them as they can give pretty neat bonuses and in case of any% the Jokul mode adds only benefits in form of more rerolls.
