Hey everyone, I just reproduced something interesting while doing a speedrun on the Japanese arcade version

So far I tried to reproduce and it did, either running or standing on a specific position.

Nice, this is a known thing that zed found quite a long time ago, if you look through old forum posts for the megadrive version you can see it. Unfortunately it generally wont save time because you will have to wait for the bat patterns, unless you get a lucky bat that will boost you past the gauntlet.

Yeah absolutely, most of the times you just want to have your armor for a safer ladder skip. However, in a scenario without any armor it might be useful to try
