New and Old Versions

Hey speedrunners,
Getaway Shootout has had a major overhaul in 2023, compared to when it released in August of 2018. The update introduced two new maps, as well as slightly slower physics. You can find the different versions under the "Resources" tab on Speedrun.com
When should I use the old/new version?
Old Version (2018-2023)
- 3 Maps and 5 Maps speedruns
- Kills speedruns (new version works as well here)
- Individual level speedruns that aren't Terminal or Plane
New Version (2023-)
- Terminal or Plane speedruns
- 4 Maps speedruns (start on Plane)
- Time Trial speedruns
New "View Ghost" Feature and Bomb Jumps | 9/12/2024
So New Eich (finally) added a "View Ghost" feature, so that you speedrunners can now peacefully record your speedruns without having to record AND catch up to your impossibly fast ghosts. It is still a work in progress, as he states [here](
