A lot of people say that they'll do it, and then we never hear from them ever again.

I mean it's ok if the website is built well and runs ok and has MODS to prevent spam and all that junk....... so yeah it's ok... if it has a community

I wish you good luck :)

That's not really a good idea. Speedrun.com uses help from a third party, has their own domain, and SEO. Most of that costs money.

I think it is a good idea as long as you have some help managing it.

I mean.. nobody is stopping you. Speedrunning isn't OWNED by src. As long as you can properly manage a website it should be fine. As in, many many mods if you want a community around the same size of src. Edit: Weebly

Don't let yourself be intimidated by the ppl who laugh at the idea or the website. Believe in your idea and if it works out people will join. If not, well it is an experience, you'll be richer by that. Have fun while you work on it, cause that's the most important part!

Despite the name, its the only website editor that has the capability to run unlimited pages for free!

this feels like a paid promotion in a youtube video

Good luck, I think this community has things covered pretty well. What games in particular do you mean?

I don't know - sr.c is a pretty big site, and getting a lot of people to join your site could be hard.
