How long does it take to create new category for an existing game?

Hello everyone ^-^

I am pretty new on speedrun.com. Wanted to speedrun for a very long time, but I didn´t find game or category I would like to participate in until now. I started playing Palia and during a fast cake party I wondered - What if we could speedrun making 100 cakes? And that´s how I started speedrunning cake parties in Palia.

So I contacted moderator for that game and asked him if that´s something that we could set up. He replied in a week and agreed - he asked me what rules would I suggest, etc. I wrote him back and since then - I don´t have any info. I don´t know if he sent the ticket, I don´t know if he needs some more information, nothing. It isn´t game that is runned very often and it has been already a month. Any suggestions? Should I be patient and wait? Or ask someone else? Submit some kind of ticket or smt? :)

I apologize if this question doesn´t belong in this forum. Thanks for any answers! ^-^

Looking at Palia board in general, its a pretty quiet board so I wouldn't doubt side category like that not existing due to the game not being that popular to speedrun. If its something you've discussed with a mod, its gonna be best bet to try and keep talking with them, but I can see why they wouldn't make any extra categories.

There are multiple categories in other games that are not run often. I don´t see any reason why it could not be set up. Many people run cake parties. Hundreds. They just don´t know that they can post their time somewhere. :) More people run cake parties than the tower - which has 5 categories in Palia.

If the moderator isn't acting on those changes yet, give them a little more time, they just haven't been online for a few days. If they still haven't responded to you/acted on changes they've agreed to after a while you can always message them outside of the website. Site admin requests demand that a moderator is offline for at least 21 days but that's for a different problem than yours; it holds a similar principle, you're welcome to contact them outside the site if they're inactive for about that long, with simpler requests like yours I'm sure you could be friendly and contact them off the site sooner/straight away to ask, just don't harass them ;)

Thank you for answer. Don´t worry, I don´t spam anyone. :) It is not my intention to harass someone or be annoying.
