Hi guys,
Just replayed this game after a long, long time, and was following http://speeddemosarchive.com/FinalFantasyTactics.html guide in trying to speedrun this game. Accidentally found this, so just wanna leave it here for others to try.
For this battle, I could end it in one turn, not sure if luck. Ramza specs: Level 20 Mage, Math, MP Switch, MA Up Equips: Flame rod, triangle hat, wizard robe
Situation: Queklain had higher speed than me, so first turn move + nightmare. My turn, height prime Flare, dealt 383 damage, one hit KO.
Might save up a turn's worth of time. Try it out and let me know!
Update:
Actually, the time saved might not be worth it, considering the switching cost of jobs and equipment between priest and black mage.
It depends if you want to be methodical, sloppy, or complete? I'm unsure how being faster effects a game not super hard to beat. Yes, doing it fast is the nature of this site. Though saving minutes on a game you understand doesn't make you worse does it? Luck becomes a more deciding factor the faster you go but it doesn't make others less competent imo.
