Auto splitter

#Prerequisites

Download [this](https://github.com/Toufool/Auto-Split) tool with [these](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rUaj5Pq4D8WEDJmt8NM-d0FeNECatik8/view?usp=sharing) split pictures with [those](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zX3J4QY7J3p69tkp3FQvnuQeTDJEf3AV/view?usp=sharing) livesplit splits.
Extract the auto splitter and the split pictures.

#How does it works ?

The auto splitter uses picture triggers to split. According to tests I have done on my computer it's maximum 1 frame late.

#Setting the auto splitter

When launching the auto splitter with AutoSplit.exe you will need to add the split pictures folder.
After that you will need to define a region, I recommend you using a 4:3 one since split pictures are made to work both in fullscreen and windowed and that some triggers are only 4:3 by the way.
You can select an unprecise region with the "select region" tool then ajust it precisely with the fields made for that.

If you are playing in fullscreen on a 1080p screen, just put:
x = 240
y = 0
Width = 1440
Height = 1080

Since the game runs at less than 24 fps, anything above than that should be OK for the autosplitter. Some tests will be made to make this information more precise.
Disabling live view when everything is setup and lowering FPS reduces CPU usage and can improve the overall speed of the splitter.

"Similarity threshold" is an important point because it defines when the splitter will split, depending of the visibility of the trigger. Default settings should be fine but if the splitter splits when it should not, raise this a little bit, and if the splitter is not splitting, lower this a little bit.

"Pause time after split" is also an important point, it's the amount of time where the splitter won't work after a split to avoid splitting multiple times. You should lower it to less than 3 seconds to make sure you won't skip anything.

#Using the auto splitter

Once you finished setting up those things, just add the "start / split" hotkey, it MUST be the same as the key you are using to split on livesplit.

You NEED to split after having beaten the last boss because there’s no visual trigger for now.

You will also NEED to stop the auto splitter right after beating the boss to avoid false positives.

#Load remover

The splits and split pictures are set to register loading time in order to easily remove them in the future. Add every load splits and remove the result from final time and you will get the load-less time!

L'idéal sera d'extraire les différents fichiers dans un dossier pour les regrouper.
Vous pouvez utiliser [7zip](https://7-zip.org/) en cas de doute.

# Comment ça marche ?

L'auto splitter compare votre zone sélectionnée (dans notre cas ici, le jeu Équipe Actimel) avec une image désignée qui change en fonction du split.

Lorsque la comparaison atteint un seuil d'équivalence, il va effectuer un appui clavier correspondant après configuration à votre touche de split sur LiveSplit.

# Configuration

L'application d'auto split se lance avec AutoSplit.exe.

-> Une fois lancée, ajoutez le "Split Image Folder" correspondant aux images de splits extraites dans un dossier séparé.

-> Pour le choix de la région de capture je recommande de lancer le jeu en fenêtré et de choisir la fenêtre de ce dernier. Appliquez un crop grossier avec X et Y ainsi que Width et Height afin d'obtenir le jeu en 4/3 centré dans la preview. Même si vous jouez en 16/9 ou autres ratios d'affichage ça ne posera pas de soucis. (voir exemple ci-dessous)

Maintenant direction les paramètres (File -> Settings):

-> Dans le premier onglet, vous pouvez changer "Comparison FPS limit" à 24 afin d'économiser les ressources de votre machine vu que le jeu tourne à très faible frame rate.

-> Dans l'onglet suivant il y a l'option "Default Similarity Threshold" qui permet de définir le seuil auquel une image est considérée comme identique à votre jeu. Plus le nombre est élevé moins il y a des risques de splits fantôme. Cependant le résultat dépendra entre autres de votre découpage fait plus haut. Je ne recommande pas en dessous de 0.70. Par défaut je recommanderais 0.80. Augmentez en cas de split fantôme et baissez en cas de non-split.

-> Dans le même onglet il y a l'option "Default Pause Time" permettant un délai avant de pouvoir re-split. Je recommande moins de 3 secondes pour éviter de skip des splits. 2 secondes est probablement un bon setting.


Dans le dernier onglet se trouvent les hotkeys. Remplissez-les pour correspondre à celles de votre LiveSplit au minimum pour le split et pour le reset.

# Utilisation

Après son allumage, il est nécessaire de cliquer sur "Reload Start Image" afin de charger la première image de comparaison.
Ensuite il suffit de reset à chaque fin de tentatives.

### **Vous devez split vous-même après avoir battu le boss car il n'y a pas de trigger visuel pour le moment.**

Je recommande également de stopper l'auto splitter afin d'éviter les faux positifs après un PB.

# Load remover

Bien que pour l'instant ce ne soit pas en compte sur le leaderboard, l'outil sépare les temps de chargement du temps des niveaux.

Start timer when you press "Go" after filling in your name.

Stop it when you last hit the final boss.

You can play the game in any difficulty.
