i haven’t submitted any runs but i’ve been experimenting with a new route for the wonderland grove egg in any% where you have to hand out the party invitations (i’m writing this on my phone so the quality is going to be pretty mid)

okay but the typical route is you talk to the queen, get the pepper with the small cupcake, free the person in the pig and then reset. this all stays the same.

afterwards you’d normally go to the lady on the mushroom. you still do that but with this route you want to get the question wrong on PURPOSE.

now when you get her question wrong she teleports you somewhere random. for all i know this is complete RNG — answering with a specific incorrect answer doesn’t change your spawn. this is the only con with this route.

i’m pretty sure there are four potential places you get sent; some are more ideal than others. ideally you want to get spawned next to aotoru(?), the person in the small lake next to the house. you’d talk to them, talk to the guy in the house, get the crowbar, and then talk to the guy by the river (futurewebsiteowner). you’d then climb the tree, talk to the guy on the top of the tree, and jump into the maze like normal and get the maze people before resetting.

afterwards you talk to the mushroom girl and get the question correct this time and proceed with the original route of talking to the guy next to the bushes, grabbing the berry, talking to the people next to the waterfall, going into the small town, and going into the small house and resetting. then you go to the queen.

if you get teleported to aotoru or even to the house with the guy trapped in it, it probably saves time over original route by having a straight line to the crowbar instead of having to run past it initially and then run back to it. of course, the rng is the only downside to it but i think even with the worst spawn (in front of the small town) you break even. also the additional textboxes might lose time as well as the fact that she might give you a second chance initially which tbh might make this route slower. this second chance effect is the only reason you can only do this trick once. if you come back to her after getting teleported with a wrong answer again she will give you like ten thousand chances to try again.

i think its worth experimenting with. idk.

this route is being used in 43 eggs already, people are considering employing it in any% but theres a lot more discovery time being spent trying to find a setup for tiny house clip, that route that TBR uses is probably fastest no matter what.
