Real time runs now start the frame before the enemy starts moving in stage 1 as this is the frame the in-game timer starts and the frame the character can start moving . This is due to timing discrepancies in the play screen and character select screen. Time will still stop at the end screen.
In-game timing is now in milliseconds.
I will eventually retime all the runs in both categories.
Hello everyone! I'm Fibbel and I'm taking over as mod for this game since it was not in good shape. I made, and will be making some significant changes.
First, I made a new category for runs done on a monitor with a greater refresh rate. It was obviously unfair. You will see now that there is a different category for runs like that, called "Other Speed". Second, I made real time the default timing method and I am requiring milliseconds in all runs. This just makes sense to do, as it will provide an accurate time as well as break ties.
In the coming days, I will be retiming every single run on the leaderboard and also getting through the backlog of unverified runs. I will also be making this leaderboard much less boring and giving it a theme.
