The leaderboards have been reworked, new categories have been added, and old runs have been moved.

Thanks to all the voters, as well as our moderator, Leoxiong, who translated the form and asked the Chinese community!

We hope that this new structure will shed more light on the achievements of the community, as well as keep it involved with new categories that have been tested in the past.

The poll results are in, and we will now begin reworking the leaderboards as follows.

The new Main Categories will be:

Any% Warpless (25 votes) Any% Warps (18 votes) Fresh File (23 votes) 0-5BC Glitchless (15 votes) 5BC Glitched and 5BC NMG (13/8 votes)

The new Category Extensions will be:

All Bosses (11 votes) All Runes (7 votes) Reverse Rune Order (2 votes) Cursed Sword Glitchless (9 votes) Training Room Boss Rush (19 votes)

Some more important changes are that Category Extensions will also require verification now.

We ask you to refrain from submitting runs until the changes are fully incorporated. We will notify you when it's time again!

The sub-categories are:

• 60+ FPS
• <60 FPS

A lot of runners have requested we break the category up since Wings of the Crow is so powerful with high FPS numbers.

For <60 FPS runs vSync is required and must be shown being enabled after a run is complete (Mobile players show FPS limit).

The multistat scroll glitch is banned

The 23th January you were asked for your opinion about the multistat glitch. Thank you for your participation !

If you didn't click (or didn't read the title of this news ?), unfortunately for the people who submitted runs with it, the multistat scroll glitch is now officially banned.

Runs submitted with it will be rejected or removed from the leaderboards.

We are hiring verifiers

You may have noticed that the verification rate of the runs has been severly slowed down recently. We apologise for the inconvienence.

To solve this issue, we decided to hire 4 extra verifiers ! They will compose 2 teams (with Vord and myself) which will rotate every 2 months to keep us motivated.

The mandatory requirements are :

• Fluent english
• Sending me in private message on speedrun.com or on Discord (Evian#6930) the answer to the following question : In his 0-5BC Personal Best, which skill Vord got from his fight against 3BC Time Keeper ?

If we have more than 4 applies, my personal extra criterias will be your seniority, your participations in the community and their relevance.

Hello Dead Cells runners,

Recently, a submitted run used the Multistat scroll glitch to get 4 scrolls instead of one, which raises an outcry from some runners, breaking intentional vagueness around it.

As a reminder, Multistat scroll glitch (Multistat) is a glitch allowing the player to get multiple stats from a single scroll. You trigger this glitch by performing, while you are in scroll selection menu, multiple "Confirm" inputs in a single frame.

There are several ways to do so :

(1) using an auto-clicker to perform multiple left clicks (2) pressing all the binding of "Confirm" action at the same time. Those bindings are : Left click, Enter, Space. (3) lowering game framerate and spam left clicks (4) a combinaision of the methods above

The first method has been banned from a long time ago, leading to the discovery of the methods (2) and (3). Method (2) usually meant getting two scrolls... until someone managed to get 4 : Method (3) allows you to get as many scrolls you want :

The Seeded category of this category extension board have gained a lot of popularity. A lot more than we expected first while creating it. Thanks everyone for your enthousiasm !

As the category became as optimized as main board ones, it has been decided to move it to sub-categories on the main board. You can find Any% Warpless Seeded runs here, for example.

You can now submit your new PBs on the big scene ?
