Long story short, I accidentally pressed G and it reduced the framerate (at least that's what it said in engineering.com). Does this affect the input rate/run times?

(also is this common knowledge or did nobody know this?)

Cool find I'll have to test it out myself. Don't know if it's useful for speedrunning besides maybe Stage 9 where you collect the 4th ring since the game freezes for a bit normally
