Double Jumping

There are two methods to do double jumps, the first one is tapping W followed by the up arrow, or up arrow followed by W, the second method is to double tap W or the up arrow. This trick is very difficult and is only recommended for people going for times below a 125. Learning this trick can be difficult at first, but try every method and figure out what works best for you.

Fast Fall lvl 11

The most consistent way to do it is by - stopping in the air for a little bit so you don't hit the fire and not getting your speed caught, and then throwing the axe as high as possible on the wall without it flying over it.
This strat is very unique as if throw the axe one pixel higher it goes just above the wall and flies through the fire, killing you and losing a few seconds. If you go one pixel lower then you don't die and the run continues, only missing out on the 0.4 second save.
I highly recommend not going for this in runs, stop in the air like the video does and try to aim 3-5 pixels lower than what you need to get fast fall, and sometimes you might actually get lucky in a run but there are many more time saves not nearly as difficult as this one.

how to beat the game.

so as you start in lvl 1 you will be facing the right and forward is flames so first what you want to do is turn around and face the wall on the left then jump and throw your axe on the wall and then turn around and walk and get the chest and then jump to the other platform that will definitely cut your time, lvl 2 run forward immediately and then jump and keep moving forward in the air after the first wall and then do the same with the second wall, lvl 3 jump and throw your axe on the wall and once you launch in the air grab it and throw it on the wall again and then you will be over the first wall don't fall to the floor the platform with flames you can throw your axe on it so as you fall throw it on it and once you launch off it and keep moving forward and thro on the wall again and then keep moving forward and you will land on the chest, lvl 4 turn around jump throw axe bounce off axe throw axe on the edge of the spikes and then keep moving forward you will get the chest then fall turn around throw axe and turn around and you will land near the chest, lvl 5 go on the first step jump and throw axe on the floating island and keep moving and once you land on it jump and then once you get near the wall throw your axe, lvl 6  run throw your axe immediately then jump and turn to the edge and throw axe and then turn around again and get the chest and then turn around again and immediately throw your axe it will kill the bat and run and jump to the next platform and get the chest, lvl 7 throw axe on the wall and jump on it and then turn around and throw axe again on green wall and once you land near the bat throw axe then fall and throw axe again on the green turn around and then throw axe again and go down the hole and throw axe at the bat and get the last chests, lvl 8 turn around and throw axe and bounce on it and then throw axe again while in they air and then land on the ground and the axe in the torch will make the ghosts go away and then run and jump past the ghost and throw axe again on wall and get the chest, lvl 9 throw axe and run jump past the flames and then jump on axe and turn around to go on the orange platform then fall down and throw axe at the bat and then jump on axe and turn around and get the chest, lvl 10  run and jump into the flames and throw axe and bounce off it and then land on orange platform throw axe and wait once ghosts turn tranparent run throught it and fall down and go and get the chest then recall your axe and jump and throw and turn around and get the chest. lvl 11 Jump and throw axe on edge and keep moving forward then throw axe again on the other edge and then recall axe once in the air and throw again fall down where the ghost is then turn around recall axe once on the floor and run and throw the axe at the bat and get the chest lvl 12 throw axe jump on the edge of axe and turn around recall axe throw axe on the edge and then land on the platform then turn around jump throw axe and then turn around and jump onto the other green wall with a ghost while falling recall your axe and then throw it and get on the other platform and repeat. lvl 13 throw the axe and go up the hole and throw the axe on the torch and fall down the hole again and then recall the axe it will kill one bat and then go back up and throw the axe on the torch again once near the flames run jump recall axe throw axe and then throw at the bat lvl 14 throw axe and jump on it and turn around and throw axe on the edge and once in air recall axe and throw at torch once on the ground recall the axe and throw at the bat then go to wall throw axe jump and turn around and throw on wall and turn around in the air throw axe on the torch fall to the ground go diagonally with the axe recall it and the bat will be killed repeat the process and get the chest  lvl 15 throw axe at the orange wall and fall down the hole with the ghost the axe  will bounce off wall and come back too you killing the bat throw axe on the wall to stop yourself from hitting the ghost and go back where you statrted and turn around and jump and throw axe while in the air and once on the torch fall down where the chest is and get it and there you go you beat the game cogratulations happy speedruning.

Possible Best Time

The WR is currently just under 2 minutes but when you add up the individual-level record times the proven fastest in-game time can be 68.300 seconds. But we have to account for the jump out animation at the end of each level. Each of the animation times is exactly 3 seconds, though with 60 fps it jumps to 3.017 (This adds about .2 seconds to the total time)  There are 45 seconds of extra animations but the last one isn't counted by the clock as the timer stops when you hit the last chest. This brings it down to 42 seconds of animation. Now with the possible best time of 68.3 in-game seconds, added to the 42 animation seconds, we have a 9.08-second improvement over the current WR. I do believe that the individual levels could be optimized for maybe a second or two time save overall (besides level 2, 6, and maybe 1) but I'm not going to make any assumptions. 

To sum it up, the individual level bests add up to 68.3 seconds. The in-game animations take up 42 seconds of time. A 60 FPS framerate adds .2 seconds to the animations. So assuming that all of the levels are completely optimized as of Nov 10th, 2020...

The best possible time for the full game is 110.500 seconds (1 minute and 50.5 seconds)
