I've been looking to record a run to submit to the 100% runs of this game. I saw something in the Any% rules on splicing vehicles and was wondering about that. Would splicing the L.O.G choice vehicle missions to possibly make them easier be allowed? This question may go to waste since actually doing so wastes minutes to save seconds, but still something I'd like to know.
I watched a few of the guides you guys have on the page actually, I think I answered my own question.
if you actually wanna go route out 100% have fun with that it'd be interesting to watch though, what's your twitch handle?
Also about the splicing I think you misunderstood what the rules were saying, it said nothing about editing L.O.G.'s Choice vehicles when the mission starts, there's a lot of spots where I do that in any% lol
I did realize after watching the guides that I made a foot in mouth post. I managed to make the Twitch and such, now comes the practice (especially the L.O.G challenge DLCs). I can't wait to see how I like speed running (Leave it to me to choose a 12+ hour game to start speedrunning lol), and I hope I can benefit the community
I actually never thought about it, but I don't think you'd have to do the DLC in 100%, considering it's extra paid content. Also the one run that's on there isn't really a good measure for how long it is, that was routed pretty terribly in less then a week by someone who never ran the game before that point. Scykoh and I were guessing it would take around 6 hours for a decent well routed run.
On that note I mean if you want to start with 100% go nuts but I would highly recommend NOT doing that unless you're really confident about your ability to route and build vehicles and such. Any% was a nightmare enough for us as it was and there's STILL probably things we could improve on. I do have a tutorial in the guide section for any% although it's extremely outdated at this point. But it should still help a beginner well. Also I do plan on making a new tutorial hopefully sooner rather then later, but I've been way too focused on other speedgames and busy with a bunch of in real irl stuff at the same time so who knows when I'll get to that.
If you need any help or pointers though we do have a discord, it's part of the general banjo-kazooie community but it's there if you want it, although almost no one talks in it, I still will see it and would be willing to help you with whatever you need.
