I think it would be really cool if we could at a Skipless category like playing the game as intented

nah, the mods won't do that, why would they? they already declined using IL runs, controller runs and no spacebar, what makes you think this will be any different? we desperately need new mods, that's the reason hungryhyena made his own server, anyway.
The people who are good with skips would still just blow through the game. I don't think it's a different enough category to warrant a separate leaderboard.
Most of these ideas don't make a lot of sense from where I stand.
Distinguishing different controls could be achieved through a filter, and justifying adding a category because you "suck" seems to defeat the point; do you intend to stick with the category and improve, at which point you'll stop sucking, or do you just want to submit a run and move on? In the latter case, you won't produce a remarkable run to begin with and should just submit to the default category, as the content is essentially the same.
Doesn't AS13B play without spacebar already? So, the idea is to separate his run from the default leaderboard as well or copy/paste the submission? Clutter-introducing logic at best, needlessly separating players from competing together at worst.
Many communities deal with suggestions to create categories by ensuring there's demand first: produce your run, make a thread to post it in. If there's continued interest, mods ought to take notice. The middling outcome for keeping leaderboards clean is creating clutter for the sake of players who don't actually have prolonged interest in running the game.
individual levels would be sick, don't know how they would start/stop regards to the timer but it can be worked out.
You can take what the autosplitter already separates and use it as a basis. Then just apply the same rule, but to different objects.
For example, Intro could be:
Time begins upon the first grab of the first rock.
Time ends upon the first grab of a green covered rock.
I wouldn't put it that way, as it's just an opinion I formed to push back in defense of the hard work the mods are doing to maintain the community.
Ultimately, you could come up with good enough reasoning for or against, it's just a matter of phrasing. Skipless may be harder to push for outside of category extension leaderboards, but ILs seem reasonable, given that GOI had them. It all hinges on how convenient it is to time and verify the submissions.
@Hachimen hard work? so far, on SRC there hasn't been any verified runs in 3 days nor any roles added in the main adgac server. no work on adding categories as well
@AggressiveCombo You sound like someone who would do a much better job without compensation. The only question is, will you still be here in 6 months, verifying runs for a game you no longer play. Submissions are obviously being verified again, so you should realize just how petty this is.
I've verified a run for a game i haven't played for 2 years. if there's basically nothing happenning then having 5 mods is useless.
You're essentially saying the Super Mod is incompetent as well as the rest of the team and want a change in leadership, which is just being belligerent. Are you sure that's the correct way to go about this?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't /adgac_extra be created right now by pretty much anyone to provide a platform for all of those additional categories?
@kekprod if they are going to become catagory extensions, I reckon custom splits would be made for each map that does become an extension.
@Hachimen AggressiveCombo is just generally salty for being declined mod in the goi server multiple times for being a living meme, most of everything he typed here is either a lie or just wrong. Controller hasn't been added as a category for multiple reasons same as IL's, doesn't mean they won't ever be added. No spacebar is just stupid as a category sorry. Hyena left the server because of his own personal issues with the discord, it had nothing to do with how src was being ran.
I'm not opposed to skipless as a category, I'm also not opposed to adding more mods, but unfortunately I am not the one with power.
You should give some respect to those who are willing to maintain the community without abusing it for personal gain or giving it up to whomever has the loudest voice. I know Valmerix is a good guy, and if he's saying the SM is being obstinate, that's concerning, but not a reason for creating hostilities. Inactive communites sometimes take weeks to verify runs or mods have to be contacted over social media. Stop trolling.
