Hi :) I recently became interested in running Asterix and Obelix for the SNES. Unfortunately, I don't have an SNES so I was wondering is there any list of allowed and unallowed emulators for running this game, or I can use whichever one

- ZSNES
- SNES9x 1.4x
I use for my runs SNES9x 1.53 my wr run is far from perfect, so feel free to beat it ;)
Hi, i'm using SNES 9x 1.53 too. I think with a better we can be under 31 and with no death it's sure we can have under 30
sub 30 seems really hard, not sure if possible i am doing derusting again and gonna try sub 31, but do not want to grind it, because of olymp games, stupid mashing
Olympic games sucks so hard y. I've looked your run and a TAS of a 2 players run. I think u'll win like 30 seconds with dying only one time. And Few strats are new in the TAS. I think i was really optimistic with sub 30 xD
We could add rules for turbo controllers on the Olympic games. I doubt anyone would mind. It is just numb button mashing anyway.
i agree with that, but the problem is, turbo controller is not original hardware. so people on the snes got a disadvantage. i tested it and turbo button does not even save time, because you have to wait for the other guys to finish. so you do not even have to mash hard to get a good time. so i mashed on my last runs to much :)
so it only saves you the mashing part, i would still agree to allow it, but only if everyone agrees, we will allow it in rules
I do think there were third party snes controllers with turbo, but still, it is as you said, you can't save any time in Olympic games, it is basically fixed as long as you are in the lead.
I vote to allow it. Don't think it affects anywhere else on the run too and it might make this game more welcoming to run.
Hum, there is no pb i think on easy categories, but it's maybe harder on the next levels so dunno what to think
gratz contos for the PB/WR btw someone posted on my PB something interesting: "I remember a glitch i used as a kid to fly through the whole mountain lvl. Do you know it? I somehow as a kid glitched on the slides and flew over the top border of the screen towards the end of the lvl." "Nah, I played on Pc.. if i remember correctly it was on the first bottom slide, if i remember correctly. I cant give more information about it... last time i played this game is probably 10+ years ago. I found it by accident whilst jumping around on the slide and doing random stuff... i wish i could help more :/"

Hum i'm really bad on finding glitch so i really don't know. Thks and btw i've beaten my PB for 20 sec, will be posting soon. For the moment i'm thinking on doing under 31 30 as WR, i'll see after if we find something as glitch. Would be so interesting if we can find glitch for olympic games ahah. EDIT: I've tried too and i found nothing
Could be it's a pc glitch only. I actually first played this game on the pc, but I don't have it anymore to confirm.
I'll also give it a try in the SNES
