In this run:
You can see I get a time of 10.99 on level 1, but in the end screen it say 11.02
Since the Individual Level leaderboards use the time listed at the end of the level instead of at the end of the game, please do not use the end screen to time full-game runs, and instead combine the level times manually :)
It just makes timing it much longer and makes it harder for the player to understand if they have beaten a record or not, so it is probably just easier to rely on the timer even if its not completely accurate because everyone gets the same timer and the times are rounded the same for everyone.
I imagine that they are just delayed, like it takes some time for the game to register the time after you hit the finish, the problem would be if the time it takes would be different for everyone because that could give them a disadvantage, but is the delay is the same for everyone then it shouldnt matter too much. Also the game isnt optimised enough to tell if the timer is too big of a deal.
I think this proves it:
during this session my 4 level times were; 9.90 (listed 10.39 at end), 11.4x (not recorded :c) (listed 10.62 at end [lower than real time lmao???]), 5.61 (listed 10.19 at end), 6.73 (listed 10.30 at end)
these discrepancies are seemingly random between each level (0.41, -0.7x or 0.8x, 4.58, 3.63), and one of the end times being lower than the real time implies this isn't caused by delay at all, but rather some other bug with the game's code
I imagine this can be influenced by people's hardware and/or browser, or maybe it's a floating point error (who knows)
either way hopefully this is enough for the mod to make a some change to how runs are timed
anyways I've done everything I wanted to (again) so I'm done here for now

As you can see here, the list of unrounded times, when added together and rounded, add up to the end time I have been using for the leaderboard. the "results" it gives you are the rounded level times, and the rounded sum of the unrounded times. When you add up the IL times it gives you, you get a slightly lower time than when you add up the unrounded times. So the time we have been using is the more accurate time.
In the most recent post by 4d9r, I am fairly sure that the reason all those times were 10 seconds is because the glitch discussed in the "how to time travel" forum was used in the first level four times, resulting in four similar times on the leaderboard. I will be adding to the rules to make this glitch officially not allowed, even though it loses time. (it is already not allowed to perform it in any level besides L1 because it is against the rules to reset with R in any level besides L1)
