As there's no IGT shown at the end of these levels, timing is done via a frame timer
Individual level runs of FINAL BOSS and LET'S HIT THE ROAD must start from the menu to determine the difficulty or the difficulty played on must be provable, for example, a clip from a full-game run that shows the difficulty selected at the beginning
The individual levels' rules will have the time starts and time ends, it's also included in this news post below, runners aren't expected to submit an accurate time for these levels so don't worry about sending an inaccurate time as it's checked

Time starts first frame the elevator door moves open. Time ends first frame of white screen when skipping the cutscene after killing the boss
-LET's HIT THE ROAD- (2 instances)
instance 1 - Time starts first visible frame of gameplay after skipping the cutscene that starts with the MMJ logo. Time ends first frame of cutscene

Instance 2 - Time starts first frame Mr. Bullet's full health bar is visible. Time ends when Mr. Bullet dies in the turret section
- Added a new rule:
- Runs need proper audio. (music, voice call etc is allowed as long as the game itself is still able to be heard properly)
- Added a GUIDE, Speedrun Strategies & Skip Tips. If you're new to the game it's highly recommended you read this. If there's any questions the community in the discord is very helpful!
- RETIMES for runs before patch 1.07 (the latest patch). This is mostly done, if your run is a pre-patch run and doesn't have the mod note don't worry I haven't forgotten it. A retimed run will have this note "Mod note: IGT retimed to patch 1.07"
- What did each patch change for the IGT?
- Patch 1.05 - This patch introduced "speedrun mode" which gave us an official in-game timer that tracked the IGT. Every run submitted before this patch was manually frame timed to this timer
- Patch 1.07 - Error chapter & floor 41 removed from speedrun mode. The instances have been frame timed and removed from the IGT
- Added a LEVEL ORDER variable - RANDOM and SET
- Added LENIENT difficulty
- Added INSANE, WEAPONS ROULETTE and HAPPY FOOT! categories
- ENDLESS, WEAPONS ROULETTE and HAPPY FOOT! are starting with a FLOOR 30 variant, more variants can be added if desired (FLOOR 10, FLOOR 50 for example)
- PERMADEATH runs have been moved to the CHALLENGE difficulty, both modes play the same and was agreed on to combine. Submittable to both Full game and Levels
- With the next game update will likely come a retime of every Full game run to line up Chapters 8 and 9 with a new end timer, this may take time. If or when your run has been retimed a note will be left in the description with the start and end frames used, another changelog on this news board will be added once all runs are up to date.

- Moved the rules from being on the categories to being on the general rules. They should show up everywhere now and WILL apply on every category
- Added some clarification on the category rules of " FINAL BOSS " and " LETS HIT THE ROAD! "
- Seperated FLOOR30 and SURVIVAL as seperate categories to allow for SURVIVAL to be sorted from longest to shortest times in the leaderboard (thank you to user danejerus, for clarification see this thread)
- Changed "EMF30%" to "YELLOWBOOTS%", not my proudest naming work LOL
