First. Unlock the quests until you get the "Buy rod attachment" Quests. Buy them for your better rod. Switch to the worse rod with Z, receive the quest again, Switch to the better one with X and buy the upgrade. You can repeat this up to three times.
Second. Unlock level 5 to get the lure upgrades. Launch a medium/large bait with a rocket (Also preferably a bomb) to get a queenfish to bite. (Do not reel it to the shore!) It'll pull your lure down, as it's supposed to. Make sure it doesn't get bit by any large fish, and If it does, either reset the run, get it to the shark or try to get another queenfish.
Third, most important step: Get the queenfish low enough to get stuck on the rocks. Sound cues might help to see if it is stuck, but you can see it very lightly.
If your queenfish has been pulled by the shark, get a beakfish onto your lure. Reeling it in causes it to rotate counter-clockwise and swim swiftly towards the direction it's facing. Get it to the ocean floor, stuck on the rocks.
If you succeed at either of these, you may now reel the lure in, your line should break, and you've unlocked the Flick upgrade.
Fourth. Buy the flick upgrade and unlock the huge hook (Unless you've already got it unlocked) to catch the maw. When it strongly pulls down, use your flick towards the shore. (Do not do it frequently or the maw WILL escape.)
Fifth. Buy the basic, then the speed boat after selling the maw. After that, buy the Quick Rod and buy your desired upgrades, Flick is basically required.
Sixth. You should have enough money saved up to freely buy any lure upgrades. Buy a huge hook just in case. Flick towards a chompy. (See world record for the position of chompies.)
Get the chompy to bite and lure it in, do not use flick as it escapes easily when you do, it also swims swiftly towards your boat anyway. Release it, catch it's crayfin (might be difficult, get it with a huge hook and small fish if neccessary) and catch the other chompy.
Seventh: By now, you should have level 25 unlocked. set your system time to any hour, and the minute to XX:50. Then, you have 1 minute to swim out, and grab onto a seraph. If you do it correctly, the seraph will swim swiftly to the right when night falls. (XX:51 system time) It takes it about a minute to arrive at its destination (Outside the map). The run is done when you reach the credits, (Outside the map).
It is recommended to set up the system settings for date and time beforehand, as it saves time, and press the "Change" button only when you've reached level 25.
Happy Running!
