Basic Guide To Any%

This is very basic guide to this hidden masterpiece known as Biker Mice From Mars (2006). Controls (Bike):

  • X = gas
  • O = Bike-ability NOTE: Requires energy (Modo: shield, Turbo: AOE-shockwave, Vinnie: electric balls)
  • ▢ = Brake
  • △ = Megabike NOTE: Requires full bar of energy, do NOT use, not worth it.
  • R1 = Primary guns
  • R2 = Boost
  • L1 = Missiles
  • L2 = Rear (oil, traps, smoke etc).

To jump with bike, player must push left analogue stick back and use boost.

Beat-em-up:

  • X = Fast Attack
  • ▢ = Strong Attack
  • O = Mouse-ability (pretty much same as above with little wind-up).

Pray for Brass Knuckles for more damage.

Power-ups during gameplay: Red circle = Boost. Blue lighting = Energy. Different kinds of missiles and rear-weapons. General tip for the game is to use shield when there are a lot of enemies and especially against tanks. You have 3 lives per game-section (3 for driving and 3 for beat-em-up). and if you die 3 times in a section, you will have to restart the mission. You can upgrade your bike and character as long as you have enough money for Laser Blasters before Mission 10 and Caltraps for Mission 11.

Timing starts when in "Missions" you select "Hunger Pangs".

For most of the run (if not all) you want to play as Modo for one reason, and one reason only: when using his bike-ability (circle, requires energy which is collected by ) you get a shield that nullifies all damages, which makes certain missions from near-impossible to manageable.

This game only has 2 different gameplays: bike riding and beat-em-up.

For early game you want to try to get used for controls and collect as much as possible money (coins in-game). When beat-em-up-sections come, you can try to make some combos by altering X and square.

4th Mission: A Daring Rescue is the first mission where you can switch character to Turbo if you want to. This "bossbattle" contains limousines and you are required to destroy sideturrets before you can jump over them to grab a missile and to actually do damage to them. Turbo's bike-ability is AOE attack, which helps during the bossfight so you don't have to fetch new missiles after running out of them or missing shots. After the mission choose Modo.

7th Mission: A Gatherin' We Will Go. In this mission you have to gather 55 molecules under a timelimit (20 seconds when hitting a molecule). It is recommended to save some boost for molecules that are in the air. NOTE: If you die while collecting, your timer will be reset to 20 seconds instead of getting Game Over. You will get it if you run out of time and will have to start the mission again. In the second part during the mission you get to a bossfight against Cataclysm. You have to ways to defeat him: either trying using combos or you can try to use charge-tactic: when pressing ▢ Strong attack down for a short amount, a player will make lunge attack. Why this is ideal against Cataclysm is that he like to block a lot, so the strategy here is when he starts to block, charge your attack, and it should self-launch almost same time as Cataclysm stops to block thus dealing damage. Now here are the bad news: the hitbox for charge-attack is absolute garbage. There is certain sweet spot, either little bit left or right depending where you are compared to enemy. Regardless, good luck!

8th Mission: Charley's In Trouble is mostly same as others, but half-way through the mission her name appears on top of the kidnappers car that you have to chase. DO NOT use rockets as this is a quick way to get a game over and you have to start the whole mission from the start. Even using basic guns can deal damage to the car (even if the reticule doesn't auto-aim to it) and depending if you have upgraded your guns. Thankfully it's not made out of paper, so it can take some damage.

9th Mission: More Molecule Madness. You can probably guess what we are going to do here. Yay. Use same strategy as in Mission 7.

After completing Mission 10 Cleaning House go to Garage and upgrade your Primary Guns to Laser Blasters (costs 9000). We will use them for the rest of the run.

After completing Mission 11 The Old Ball Game go to Garage and from Rear buy Caltraps. The video below will show you how to do a quick-kill against the truck using boost and Caltraps in the mission Stolen. 13th Mission: An Imminent Cat-Astrophe. Same boss strategy as before. Good luck getting out of the mountain before it explodes. And timer ends when "Mission Complete" comes to screen.
