1.) Launch Steam in online mode. 2.) Press Windows Key + R to bring up Windows Run menu. 3.) In the field provided, type the following string and press enter: steam://open/console 4.) Steam should open a blank console. Here, you can add the string of the depot and manifest you're seeking. We want Assault Spy's last 2019 patch, from before Wazen added additional enemy health. In this case, you'll want to type out or copy/paste: download_depot download_depot 767930 767931 4349392521940777153 5.) Steam will download these files in the background. There is no progress bar for these downloads, but it will run the process in the background until it is complete. If you need/want to check if it is complete, the Downloads tab in Steam will tell you your current network usage. 6.) Turn off auto-updates in Steam by right-clicking Assault Spy in your library. Go to Properties > Updates > set "Auto Updates" to "only update this game when I launch it". If you want to really ensure it never, ever updates without your input, head to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\appmanifest_767930.acf and set AutoUpdateBehavior to 1. This file can be opened and edited in Notepad. 7.) Back up your existing game folder/save files in case there's anything you'd like to retain. Your Assault Spy save files can be found here: C:\Users[Your Windows username here!]\AppData\Local\ASSAULT_SPY\Saved\SaveGames. They play nicely with older versions and should work just fine on the downpatched version. 8.) Your Steam console should indicate where your depot has downloaded in the console. It's usually something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_XXXXXX\depot_XXXXXX. Backing up this folder is advisable, it will spare you redoing this process should you ever want or need to update again. 9.) Delete your existing Assault Spy game path in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assault Spy. Replace it with your new depot. As mentioned, this depot is probably somethere in a pathway like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_XXXXXX\depot_XXXXXX.
