Hello fellow runners! Aliens Fireteam Elite now has it's very own Speedrunning Discord made for the community! Feel free to join us to discuss strategies, group up for coop runs or just hang out! This will now be our main platform to discuss anything AFE speedrun related, such as community voting for rules & changes as an example. Would love to see you there :) https://discord.gg/6XdSCJBdvP
Hi everyone! We are going through Moderation Changes for the WWZ leaderboard & discord
You might have noticed that some runs have been taking a lot longer than usual to verify, sometimes a week, sometimes up to a month and I'm not satisfied with how long it's taking to verify or implement community needs. Clearly only being 2 moderators isn't enough and so I'd like to add new members to the moderation team to help out when we're too busy to dedicate as much time as needed.
As moderators we reflect the community's needs and provide the leaderboard with what is requested. If you're up to the task and feel like you'd be a valuable addition to the team, then feel free to reply in this channel explaining why you'd like to become a moderator.
As a moderator, it is expected of you to watch and verify runs submitted to the leaderboard. You are expected to be able to use our timing method accurately and edit the submission if the time submitted is wrong. It is required of you to be somewhat knowledgeable of the game and its speedrun so that you can detect any suspicious activity within those submissions. You are also required to have runs of your own verified on the leaderboard in order to qualify for moderation.
Being a moderator doesn't make you special, nor does it grant you power over others. If you're applying keep in mind you're doing so to represent the community as a whole.
Feel free to use this thread to apply for moderation. If you apply I would also ask that you join the WWZ discord since moderators use it to communicate with each other and the community.
The community will vote on who we will add to the moderation team. You can give likes to applications you support in this thread or use reactions on the discord channel to vote.
There has been discussion on the discord about changing our timing method for full episode runs to remove lobby time entirely as well as the loadings.
- It would facilitate the use of an auto-splitter for the game which is something the community has been wanting for a long time.
- It would make coop runs timing more precise by removing inconsistent pre-loadings in the lobby for certain players.
- Would allow for coop runs to not be invalidated if the game crashes or a disconnect happens during the run
- Would allow for a break in between levels ONLY for very long categories such as All Episodes DLC.
- It would also make it so the runner would only have to add together each level's time in their submissions, making full episode runs more accessible and attracting to new runners.
- Would make it a lot easier for console runners to time their runs correctly.
- Would make it so full episode runs would get verified faster since verifiers won't have to remove loads manually or double check for mistakes as often.
Feel free to discuss about this topic down below. This thread will be used to decide how we manage timing going forward. Feel free to also join the discussion on discord and also vote in our #polls channel. https://discord.gg/Z57PWYn5ZG
Edit (Trombonerist) - the poll is now closed for timing changes. The other bullet points regarding breaks are still being discussed. Feel free to respond here or on the discord server. We will be updating the new timing rules soon.

See you there!
Hello there! I would like to ask the moderators to add the remaining missions and categories as the current state of the leaderboard is far from complete. I have done some runs yet have no where to submit them. I'm willing to do it myself if you'd allow me, I have experience in creating leaderboards on this website and could make it look good. Thanks!

Hey there,
What do you guys think about adding a One Punch Mode as a speedrun? I think it could be pretty interesting and different from the regular any%
Hey there, I was planning on running this game pretty soon but I was wondering why there was a leaderboard for each character? Is there much difference between the characters that we need to have them separated? I kinda feel like every any% run with any characters should be the same category
Hey just wondering if there's a discord server open for everyone who's interested in the speedrun of fable
If not, I'd be happy to make one for those who would like one
