You can now submit Dc runs even if they arent faster then the normal Any% .
This doesnt mean you can submit your Any% runs in Dc category. you actually need to use the glitch ;D
EDIT: I have also added a new rule about capping the fps .
You arent allowed to uncap the fps in karlson when running dc. This means it should be at max 240fps .You also need to display your fps in the game , so we can be sure you didnt uncap it or go over 240fps.
Uncapping it can give you more crouches per second (thus making it hardware dependent)

Heya im jannik . i never posted here, so i guess ill do now . im like 2yrs late lmao . i mainly run indie games but i might try bigger games sometime.i watched a few speedruns before i made a src account but never tried speedrunning myself.
#First contact with speedrunning
i first came in contact with speedrunning / speedrun myself when i played a indie game in which i found a few little strats and exploits. I later found a speedrun of the game which rly hyped me up i grinded a bit and with my new found strats i actually got a close wr. The game wasnt / isnt run too much with just a few players ever speedrunning it, but in the end i put it from around 3:50min to 30seconds (yea i found som rather game changing glitches).
#Karlson
Later i would speedrun another small game called karlson (now named karlson2d) . The game didnt have a page and i dont remember if we even suggested one , but i had a little discord of around 40 people with lb .
After that the game dev made another game which in which i also organised the speedrun community. We first had it in the devs own server ,which was kind of a mess ,as the game got a lot of traction and many people speedrunning it. (The game was denied from having a speedrun.com page so we had our own lb on the discord) . We then later moved to a external server ( the main server was really cramped and big. 50k as of now . maybe about half at that time)
This was a really good move haha . As later we / i transformed that server to a game series hub, as the dev would release a little joke game in the same style as the last game. This game also attracted a lot of speedrunners ( The dev mentioned alot about speedruns in his vids , i guess thats why that was the case) Even tho the game is... well a bit wierd , it had / has his fair following and would actually get accepted on src for a page . i didnt suggest it as i didnt think they would accept such a game, but someone else external suggested it and got it on src. Later we would come in contact with a content mod which made it possible to get all games up on src .which rly helped me , since i was partly the only one managing the leaderboards and having the whole thing automated is way better haha.
i mean from what i know most dc runners actually do use an autoclicker . you also dont need a autoclicker or a macro... its just way faster that way . around 1000- 2500 cps is optimal i think

hmhmmm true i think crouch jumps could be a bit tricky. especially getting them consistent at the start of an level. since on pc you just press w and d for example right after you spawn.. which is not really possible on mobile... if you can always 100% have the joystick in the right direction so w and d are 50/50 yes. then you can do it too but its tricky. thats how it works i think . i dont play on mobile

Like tinonb said you need to time things right. Often people use crouch jumps :jumping when the player crouches and comes back up ,you can get the player to "crouch" by walking diagonal (w+d for example) or by other things like walking into crates (its not too consistent) many people also use tyre boost to yeet across maps : jumping right when you touch the tyre.
Actually you can start with a crouch boost in almost every level i think. Im gonna need to test myself but from what ive seen ive been able to do it everywhere.
Just press w+a or whatever combo you might need right after starting (you might need a few tries to tume it right) and wait for him to almost fall over . when goes for the final crouch release spacebar right before he "launches " himself on the ground.
You can see it in my lvl2 run i think. Its not 100% the same in every level but its pretty good
Edit: and for just crouch jump in general i either walk w+a and switch to w+d and so on(kinda looks like the player is drunk) or i do something else i wont discuss cause it might be more reliable but im not sure yet
