The title says it. I got a run from someone that is clearly too young to be on the site, and I have no clue how to report it.
https://www.speedrun.com/wl1#Any As if June 29, 2020, the top 2 runs should be displayed as a tied 1st, except they're not.
For this leaderboard https://www.speedrun.com/blood_dungeon , there's been a new run that has been posted, but for whatever reason, for the fact that it has the "YOLO mode" tag, it doesn't show up by default unless I manually choose "all" for the gamemodes, any clue why?
After some time thinking, we, the community, decided to split the boards for the 2 versions. So you guys can all submit your runs, regardless of the version, as the new engine is now also accepted.
I'm not sure where to ask this, but I feel like posting this isn't so bad.
So the community of Fireboy and Watergirl decided to split the leaderboards due to the fact that games were remade with a new engine. So I created a new variable, put 2 possible values (new engine, old engine).I made tge variable obligatory to fill, and it so that different values wouldn't obsolete each other.
The result: All the runs that were on the boards got deleted, and that without a warning that it would happen, despite having a default value set.
Luckily it only ruined this leaderboard before I caught it: https://www.speedrun.com/faw1
Could someone do a rollback of this leaderboard, and please, put a warning so that this unfortunate situation does not happen to anyone else?
Thanks in advance.
Could someone add the "Fangame" tag to this game? https://www.speedrun.com/faw3for
Hey guys,
So about 2-3 weeks ago, this game got added to the Fireboy and Watergirl franchise https://www.speedrun.com/faw3ice , but without the series being added (was it a mistake?)
Furthermore, someone in the community told me that there is a run that has been waiting for a verification for over 3 weeks with no response from the mods.
Also, I've PMed the mods of the game, with no response whatsoever.
Could someone add the series mods to that game so that there's someone checking this game? Thanks in Advance!
Hey guys,
Could it be possible to add this https://www.speedrun.com/faw4tct to the Fireboy and Watergirl (https://www.speedrun.com/faw) franchise? Thanks in advance!
BTW, here's the run done on a remake https://www.speedrun.com/faw2/run/zg7g5kjz I think we should just remove those to be fair (the skip is impossible to do on the original version), due to the fact that it may have other differences.
So for a while now, I've allowed pictures of the end screen as a proof for ILs. However, today, someone proved me that it was not acceptable to do so.
https://www.speedrun.com/faw2/run/zx4dww5y
As of now, I was thinking of removing all the runs that included an image instead of a video, and I've wanted to see what opinions the community has about that.
Also, a few weeks ago, someone posted an IL of level 26 where they skipped pressing the button on the first floor to allow Fireboy to pass. The thing is that the run was done on an unofficial remake of the game (the mechanics looked completely different), and the skip is impossible to do on the original version. So I've thought about banning those version that are not the original version that you can find on multiple website, such as ArmorGames or the Fireboy and Watergirl website.
I'll give 1-2 weeks before removing said runs unless someone can give better solutions.
At least with BK the lag is not too important (the in-game time is about 8 minutes away from the real time, which shows how small the game is). On the other hand, for BT it's about a 50 minute difference for the 100 % category, which is about a fifth of the run. So not having lag would make the real time VERY inccurate, and it does not help that the game may crash at any time for no reason.
Yeah, any website that is used for video hosting like YouTube, Twitch, DailyMotion is fine. A tip that I can give you to make it less hard for your PC when recording is to make the game smaller as OBS needs to capture less details, along with your browser lagging less too.
