Ok, question got answered.
Another question: Emulator doesn't have the sword glitch apparently, at least it hasn't ever worked for me as it seems to be tied to the Frame Drops. So I think that category doesn't need to exists on the leaderboards I think.
You do realise that emulators are pretty inaccurate and with a better PC you could just have a lower loadtimes, right? :D The hardware "advantage" is more like a uniformity, not advantage.
Oh, so I guess between PAL and NTSC there isn't a real difference.
The loadings just look like on Emulator as they are pretty much non-existent. I don't mean it as accusation, I am just curios on how I lose that time :D
So I wanted to learn the speedrun and came across a few things I wanted to ask First of all, I compared my run to Garl_Memory's run and his loading times are way shorter than mine. What console model did you run this on?
I wanted to ask a few questions about the run as it catched my interest. First and foremost, why is Ps2 FDS banned? Furthermore, as that is usually something that is allowed: Which version is the one that is used for runs?
What Capture Card do you have? If it is the Elgato Game Capture HD it works. I think it only does not work with Elgato Game Capture HD60
Because emulators are way to inacurate. Depending on how good your pc is load times are faster or slower. As for the game, it's not expensive in general. You can find it for >10 bucks.
After he forms the bubble he will fly away. You prevent it by hitting him. Once he flies away he can be staggered which is harder on ps4 due to 60 fps. I believe he moves around twice as fast. There is no real visual cue for it and a lot of people have different strats for this. Some people count in their head, some people have a feeling for the timing, other ones use an audio cue and I personally use a set of combos. But like I said, he get's staggered if you hit him while he is moving, so you just have to get used to the timing.
Basically yes, you need a timer on screen that is not the Ps4 Internal stream timer. Something like LiveSplit for example. Otherwise the run will not be able to be verified.
I am often talking about thie with people but it is not worth going for Air Combos if you can't make it 100% of the time. Ground combos are not a lot slower and I believe no current runner of KHFM actually goes for them as they can go wrong easily.
I mean, it is basically the hardest difficulty, what did you expect :D
Wait, the AP doesn't matter, you start with 3 no matter what you drop as long as you pick staff. But you drop the shield usually.
You go Staff and remove Shield. Difference is that stats don't matter but you get 2 extra AP for removing Shield and 1 extra MP for picking Staff. As we stay level 1, Strengh and Defense don't matter one bit :D
Don't try the jump combo as for that you would need a lot of experience in the speedrun. It saves time, but only if done correctly. The ground combo is easier to do. However, Anti Sora in general is a hard fight, getting the right timing is pretty hard, especially as a new runner. You will not be able to control Donald or Goofy, so they are disturbing factors as well. If you are new to the game you should probably not spend to much time getting Anti Sora fast, just try to start the loop a few times in a fight and you are fine for now. BTrues Tutorial proposes a good strat and probably the easiest one to do, but it isn't easy in general either way.
You can go ahead and submit it, nobody will stop you. Like Bublo said, we all started somewhere with higher times and we progressively got better. I would submit it just so you can look back at it at some point to see where you started :D
Discord link if anyone ever decides to run this.
I think it wouldn't be a bad idea especially as a few people have been doing runs at that a while ago. Especially as the Gameplay changes a lot it might be pretty interesting to look at.
The invitation seems to be expired Or is it for Staff only?
Is it still possible to submit a run?
