lol you guys are harsh
For a more thorough explanation:
-This would basically just be any%, optimally everything would be done exactly the same and I don't see how auto aim would help in basically all scenarios. Even without rocket clips' prevalence, in my experience running any%, most of the hard tricks are timing based, not aiming based.
-If the intent is to make it easier for people who are newer to the game, this isn't going to be beneficial for the player in the long run. You will gain more from learning the tech and routes and why they work, as despite being an FPS game, I don't believe ultrakill to typically be very aim intensive, which is really nice. I get that is opinion, but between coins doing a lot of the aiming and the emphasis on movement, getting good at ultrakill will be better than relying on auto aim to perform slower routes.
-Additionally, auto aim is disallowed on the main boards, and considering the rules for category extensions is "any% unless otherwise stated", it'd be a weird exception. There was a reason for this that I cannot find for the life of me and I'd rather not leave this message here for an hour while I hunt for it since I'd probably just end up forgetting to post anything....
Oh, and I know autoaim was changed at some point, but if it doesn't target coins, this category idea would probably be, in all actuality, harder than base any% due to difficulties in performing tricks like railcoining or slabrailcoining
in order to prevent a number of ways thatd make cheating pretty easy, video footage is required for speedruns here. in my experience, obs can be configured in a number of ways to record even when it has minimal resources, if youre interested, theres a discord link on this site that if you can join, and id be happy to see i can help get things working with you
also* max slide speed (and therefore, afaik, slide hop speed) is capped at 3x the default slide speed, whatever that is
