Potentially, but I currently have it handled as far as verifying runs. I did briefly review your recent and the hunger glitch definitely raises some questions I wanna run by the community. Personally I feel like it oversimplifies an already really simple route, but if other people like it we can always just do a Any% NMG (glitchless) category.
So I've been thinking of ways to make more diverse speedruns, since Any%/Good End/Easter all mostly involve starving the poor pups. One id like to create soon - "Well Fed Any%" , clear the game as fast as possible(any # of pups), without ever letting the food meter completely run out.
Feel free to pitch any alternate name ideas, or let me know if you like that one! Im also open to category suggestions, I was thinking Tutorial could be a thing, but not sure if anyone would want that.
To add to that, sadly all runs do need to be in a single video segment due to how the SRC boards are setup, and it would be much harder to verify authenticity in a multi vod run. If you do decide to record your screen with another device just make sure its in focus enough to see the food gauge and thats fine. Best of luck on future runs!
The wishes are allowed in full game runs but not Individual Levels
Keep in mind it should fit neatly, Any% Delicious Last Course Coop Regular Current Patch is just a mouthful for a category title. That being said I could see it changed to D.L.C to emphasize the double entendre, but typed out sounds really bad.
More like being able to * folder* a games list of runs, so your only seeing the games title and can easily proceed down the list of other game runs. Some games just have so many categories they can overwhelm a profile, being able to manage how you see the list better would be great.
The recent update to profiles makes it really difficult to navigate profiles with many games, or games with many subcategories. I would love to see some sort of option to shrink down a specific games runs to help work your way through them. If need be I'd even prefer the old system be brought back over this. The effort to keep the profiles up to date is appreciated, but I wish the community had more input on these types of changes.
I came here to say all of this, if you take a moment to look at the Levels Runs on my page you can see a major problem with the new layout, it simply takes too much space. A game like Cuphead that has 16 bosses, with 4 categories each went from being visible on a single phone screen to requiring 5 scrolls to get by. Im all for the additional information being displayed, but not at the cost of convenience. Like others have said, I'd prefer the old system if this can't be simplified.
Are you referring to the Whetstone charm? It allows you to parry off enemies/bosses once per jump and deal considerable damage. I only run on current patch but I haven't heard of any glitches to get parries
@Ziozu I would just play the menu control safe , thankfully the runs are all based on in game time so there's no reason to rush scenario select.
I was thinking it would be fun to do some checkpoint to checkpoint runs, like say Forest to Factory, or the water segment. spoiler alert
The last few checkpoints would also make a great level run, like Rampage To Escape Mainly i think this would help for players who want to avoid the more linear sections of the game, such as the assembly line.
I'd just submit it under PS4 for now, try to message one of the mods they can just change the category to Console instead.
Is Autosplit required to run this game or just recommended? Playing on console and it isnt available to me
Well just watching the chapter runs I see a few missions where they seemingly activate things without activating them, such as the lift in E2 M2, or grabbing the yellow key through the wall in E3 M4. I really think its a stretch to say a glitchless is impossible on a 25m long game, unintended/unbeneficial glitches should be forgivable. This just lets people who dont want to break the game compete
As a new runner in the series I think it would be a fairer grounds to compete on, since most runs I see involve some kind of warping. It should also motivate new people to speedrun Doom, particularly if we put up some example runs.
Currently anyone can submit anything and call it a record, it invalidates legitamate runs and should be changed. As a great example, the "World Record" is a 2 minute Minecraft video that has nothing to do with this game.
