Texas, USAPAL BC PS3s supposedly run the game really poorly and cause the game to crash randomly and when you pick up orbs. We don't know about NTSC PS3s though.
If you got it to work it might be slightly faster because of loads but it's hard to say.

On PS3 HD Collection the Citadel Skip bug is patched and loading times are slower. I don't know exactly how much time the loads account for in total, but not being able to skip citadel loses multiple minutes in any%.
If you wanted to compete with a minimal disadvantage you could run No Major Skips or probably 100% as well (or if you don't care that much about top-level competition you could still run any% anyway :P )
Also, if you don't have the game for PS2 and decide to get it, try to get a black label copy. This release is the most likely to have the citadel bug (unfortunately the bug is not on every black label though, so even then it's not a complete guarantee, just more likely). A fair number of Platinum Editions (PAL only) seem to have it too.

Also lastly, just because you may want to know this as well, PS3 is the FASTEST version for Jak II and 3 due to load times. Jak 1 is an anomaly in this regard.
We're still working out exactly what to do but in the mean time I've at least added a variable for LTS. It isn't exactly what Jumpy suggested because it is set to where a player's LTS time will obsolete their no LTS time, but it's something.
At the moment the main possibilities for change seem to be:

Creating a new category called Any% No LTS or something to that effect (and probably getting rid of NMS)

But yeah apologies for the late reply and the general slowness of this whole thing. None of the current possibilities come without some fairly annoying side effects.
Yes, PS3 is allowed on the leaderboards and also saves significant time over PS2 in Jak 3 because of loads, so I would encourage it.
There are currently no up-to-date tutorials for Jak 3 any%. I would recommend watching other people's runs and asking more experienced players questions about things that you find tricky/confusing, etc.
There are also some tutorials out there for individual tricks and things, like hover. The early game No OoB tutorial located in the Guides section could also be useful for learning how to optimize things like Training Course.
Some good people to get in touch with might be (off the top of my head) Yankee027, HillaryPuff, and I300M3R. They all stream a lot on Twitch and would be happy to help you I'm sure.

Is there a way to have the "times in milliseconds" feature available for a game's level leaderboard but not its full-game leaderboard? Currently it appears that if you enable it you have to have it be on both, and it is annoying as a moderator to have to manually edit full-game submissions that include milliseconds when we only want them to be included for level runs.
I noticed that there is no way for moderators of a series to remove games from the games list (at least as far as I can tell). I think that this should be added.
Speaking of which, if Pac or an Admin could remove the Momentum slot from the Jak and Daxter series I would appreciate it :P
