Well let's talk about forum issue

If we want to rebuild something cool we need to have solid basics. That s why i ask to every moderators to drop all useless/outdated thread from each games. I want people who communicate together, don t drop anything without talking about it. Supermods will be there if someone have a problem. Don t hesitate to talk about it.

For the general forum i suggest to DELETE these threads for obvious reason :

• Question to ya'll streamers
• Multi RE Runs Concept-Ideas
• Let's determine groundwork for Super Mod nomination
• If there are problems, let's clear them up.
• Super Mod Nomination
• Resident Evil SERIE Rules Issue - Turbo and Macro
• Super Moderators Thanks ;)
• Verification of runs
• Changes Being Made Without Informing Others

Then MERGE those one in one thread with all general submitting rules :

• Button Assignment Question
• Third-Party controllers for console
• What's the ruling on segmented runs?
• Submitting runs - A few general questions

Hey guys, i m happy to see that you are working on the site :) There s cool new stuffs and thanks for that.

I just want to show you a little issue that we have since today with Resident Evil 1 leaderboard http://www.speedrun.com/re1

It s a big leaderboard and new design did a "cut" in it. Thanks for reading and good work.

Actually we must delete all posts inside a thread to delete it. When a thread have 1000 posts it s boooooooring.

Well i create this post to make a list of issues/suggestions to improve communication. Don t hesitate to express yourself about anything annoying. We will edit the first post with all your messages. We will redirect people on respective game forum if the message is too specific or minor.

Stay serious and avoid too long text please. Don t use it as a chat ( 1post/person ). Any useless stuff will be deleted.

The list begin here :

• Delete useless threads in the general forum, I suggest to delete everything except the actual sticky threads + Verification runs post. More visibility and wash our dirty laundry for newcomers.

• Create a thread about moderation of each games after others issues/suggestions of this list will be cleared. Talking about supermod per games and rebuild mods with people who know well games. Who take the decision ? Never run the game = no mod ?

• See if each leaderboards are clear and simple. Define rules to newcomers comprehension and avoid submit error. Talk about changes in respective forum. ----->CVx segmented run ? ----->A new Game submit for REv1 Raid mode ?

• Think about Guides/Resources and fill it with useful stuff

Supermod is here if mods have trouble in their respective games. He is not here to watch all runs of each games or do rules in a game alone. If he is a "simple" moderator too, he have to speak with community IN THE RESPECTIVE forum, he don t have power or anything on other simple mods.

Proactive moderators on each games will avoid stuff like a lot of complain to Carci or even PAC himself who is not in the RE community.

If it s the way that community see supermod, well i will run to be one of them. If you see it like a mailbox to complain, i will not.

What about Carci rules in the first post and let people vote what they want ? If the guy with most votes don t want the job, take the second etc ....

I think some of us could be good as supermod but they will not claim to be. I m ok with the first post with rules btw.

All i want now is the end of drama and people are all ok with that now. I m kind of happy of that.

This is the first OOB i found on this game. Unfortunately, in this case, the next area doesn't load but maybe it could be useful somewhere else in the future.

I wasn t talking about you for "hiding behind Japanese" sorry if i missed with my idea. About Yoshi, you are right he don't represent the entire Japanese community and i said his name cause it was clearly his run that begin all that crap years ago.

Maybe you re right too about my anger but you know me a little, i m not the kind of guy to be like that for nothing. I know you just want to everyone be happy but sometimes it s impossible. I m sorry about trash talk, it s hard to have a thread talking about issues without that kind of stuff.

About each games moderation, you re right again. That s what we are going to do and if we have trouble between moderators or stuff like this crap post right now, i know you ll be there. We will take care about that turbo stuff and invite people who used it to have fun with us. I m bored about that WR hype and all that shit. Let's have fun fairly that s all.

Sorry, if i was rude with you, that was dumb. I tried to "represent" all frustration of a huge number of runners these last days and it was difficult for me too.

• We are doing vote here not on skype, so it s the true wish of the community to ban turbo and stuff. Since long times, not just since this post was created. This group is open at least.

• Turbo is here since yoshi was in the leaderboard. BUT yoshi don t have profile on speedrundotcom and i talked with him and agreed that he will try some run without turbo. So stop hiding behind Japanese cause they don t want this shit either. Here it is not a Japanese community but a world wide community. Japanese know what s respect as hell and they will agreed with that or don t submit here.

• About proving stuff, argue to accept something is that we cannot prove really ? So let s accept script to everything Kappa. More seriously it s easy to detect someone is turbo as hell. The proof ? We know who is using it actually in the leaderboard.

• It s true that there s trash talk here but i wanted vote and uhtrance gave us this first : "[Currently breaking world records left, right and centre] " "So you guys are basically salty" "Not circle-jerking in a skype group." And we want fair stuff but i think guy who hard work on speedrun don t love to be insulted ^^ there re not dumb.

• "I avoided the turbo issue because I knew it would cause a massive witchhunt like this" it s not massive, we are all ok to ban this. Just 1 or 2 guys using it.

• One last thing, what s your vote ?

I haven t run enough to be 100% ok with that but it s was my feelings too. Moira seems faster than Claire. We should do test in a corridor or something. ( like in the main prison room maybe )
