Hey I was looking in to this run and just wanted to make sure...

do any skips not work if I am on PS4 version 1.03 of the game?

I was trying the prologue sequence break and havent been able to land it. I just put it down to the jumps being pretty tight and specific...

So I moved on to the next skip Prologue Melira skip and I cant seem to be able to get up the bookcase. No where am I able to find a foothold where the example video shows.

The ladder to ch20 you hit the end of level trigger. Sometimes you’ll get it and miss the ladder. So it’s fine :)

Loads in console are consistent and so have been left in. Loads on PC vary quite a bit depending on PC. Another reason for the split is there are a couple of tricks that work on PC but not console. (The car reset back to sewers entrance is a big one).

Interestingly enough there are also some difference between N America and European console releases (the main one being you can’t grab the ledge to climb up to the first dynamite in police station on European console version) but it felt like that was enough separating by that point.

They seemed to do updates for every release roll out and left the current release versions as is which is odd.

KT is naturally a pretty glitchy game, and so glitchless has now been renamed to NMG.

Rules have been updated to show what is not allowed. Which for the most part, is everything already established.

Hello All,

Some quality of life changes have been made to the board as of today, 31st May 2021. Below is a list of them and the reasons for the change. These changes will of course always be open to discussion and never set in stone. If anyone has any more suggestions, concerns, etc let me know!

• Any% is now the first tab. Being the shortest run and most popular category.

• 100% has been renamed to 'All Secrets'. The nature of the game and the small difference between this and any% means this name just makes more sense.

• All available platforms are now listed for submitting.

• Runs will now be retimed to the nearest tenth of a second. With the times getting lower and potentially more competitive, all runs will need to be this accurate. Existing runs will be retimed by me over the following days from posting this message, no need to resubmit.

• Category and Game rules have been tweaked to explain these, and give a bit more information.

For which category is it used?

I can confirm that it does work on PS4.

Leaderboards have been updated as of today, August 8th 2019.

• Any% has now been divided by platform. So Any% (PS4) and Any% (PC). All Radios and 100% remain as is.

• All existing runs on Any% (PS4) have been re-timed to align with the newer timing method. All categories are now timed by the same method going forward. A note was also added to each existing run with their old time, for historical reference.

If anyone has any further suggestions, ideas, or concerns, please let me know here. Including any runs that need to be re-timed etc.

Alright, let's clean up the LeaderBoards. I'd like to ask what people think of this suggestion: Categories: Any% PC, Any% PS4, and the 100% and All Radios as normal. All the old runs are PS4 and the big skip still works. So separating PC and PS4 to me seems like the best option.

The only other thing to consider is timing. Would we prefer the old way be reinstated, or with the newer way still going forward.

Im leaning towards the new way, as all the older runs can just be re-timed by adding the same exact amount to each run.

Hey IGoSlow, I'm not a mod or anything. Just making a suggestion. Whatever is decided isn't up to me. I also have no idea if it works on PC or not. But it seems that unfortunately, it wasn't tested thoroughly before creating a new board. Timing runs the old way or the new way, like I said I'm not a mod so it doesn't really matter to me. But having active boards with different categories, where the timer starts over a minute apart from each other didn't make sense to me. That's why I suggested it that way. Re-timing 6 three minute runs didn't seem like it'd be too daunting a task. But either way. Anyway, hope it all works out!

I don't disagree with what you've said I was just answering your question. I would suggest reinstating any% as an active board, re-time those runs to follow the new timer rules, and add my run to that board. and having 'Any% no major skips' as a separate category.

Hey Droogie4Ever, I searched for the speedrun, and at first didn't notice the old/new separate categories.

I watched a couple runs, then tried the skip myself. Only then did I see that there was both old AND new any% runs. So I was confused as well. I'm not sure if the skip works exactly the same in both versions or not as I never ran it unpatched. It does however seem very random to me if it works or not on v1.02. I submitted the run to the new any% as it follows the new any% timing and rules.

I guess the better worded question is... is 1.02 the version that the skip is deemed undoable?

Wondering if anyone knows how to ensure a new save file on PS4. I remove all the data but my completed game file is still there and I can’t find a way to change it. Thanks for any help
