The guy of the game variety has descended from Speedrun Valhalla to bless us mere mortals with another banger run!
Yeah that's no easy trick. I used to try to flick my thumb through the jump and weapon buttons to get the timing, but now I instead place my index on the jump button and my middle on the weapon button (all this on controller btw) and then try to commit the timing to muscle memory.
You'll get there! :D
What GameGuy is talking about is known as an Omega Boost, btw. It's used when there's no corner of blocks to boost off of in the direction you want to go.
You can also (where appropriate) stand fully against a corner of normal blocks and simply fire the force ball and you'll still get boosted up and in the opposite direction.
There's many variations to the strat overall, I encourage you to continue watching runs and practising all the different variations. We're here if you need any more explanations. :D
Hello, there seems to have been an uncorrected error with Eero's run in the Waveydash leaderboards.
The In-Game time has been switched with the RTA time. Normally, with his IGT of 31:09, should hold the WaveyDash World Record.
Can this be fixed?
Thanks
Hi there, it seems there was an error in the verification process, and indeed an oversight by the mod team.
Yes, PajamaSam's time was done on the extra stage LOVE+ 2 and the leaderboards for that aren't a thing. I'll try and get those stages added.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Backstage in the IL leaderboards leads it to be a little awkward for me as well. As Degeda said, it doesn't feel like the individual effort of a certain character to me.
I do like the idea of all episodes though. Might put that in the Full-game categories though, so it's together with the All Characters category. I'll also rename those two categories to "Single Character, All Episodes" & "Single Episode, All Characters" respoectively, to remove ambiguity.
What I'll definitely do though is add Episodes 2-6 in the All Characters category.
Lemme know what you think of these ideas.
Hi, I'm just going through the forums and responding to old threads now that i have a little spare time. If they are replicable for other people, then they're fine by me personally.
Should probably mention that runs that don't defeat all foes are known as Any% runs. If any existing runs defeat all foes, please DM me with the link to the run in question and I'll move it accordingly.
Hello everyone! It is with great pleasure that I announce that "All Fights" is a sub category for all FG and IL categories.
Good luck on all of your prospective runs!
@notRandoman Sadly, this is a tutorial that's only relevant before the layout overhaul times. When our Irish lord and saviour Pac released the new layouts, he did so with some crucial features being inaccessible. Notable examples being the graph that shows the WR history of a category and sub-categories in ILs and FG runs.
The former has been reinstated. However, with my terrible vision I can't see the latter anywhere. I'll keep you posted on when I finally find how to add the categories.
As the title suggests. No category has rules. Can those be set up please so we have an easy access to timing rules?
Hey there Treya. Links have been replaced with bombchus links. These should work.
